CMAT 2017 Merit ListCMAT Merit List 2017 – The CMAT 2017 score card and All India Merit List was announced on February 09 and 07, respectively. The merit list of CMAT 2017 is available online and the candidates can access the same from this article. The merit list furnishes the list of all the 59,181 candidates who appeared for the test along with their rank, name, sectional & total score and percentile. With the announcement of the All India Merit List, the State Merit List is expected to be announced soon. The names of the candidates are available in the CMAT 2017 merit list is places according to the ranks secured. Based on a certain formula, the score and the percentile are being prepared. CMAT Merit List 2017 

The candidates have been placed in this All India CMAT Merit List 2017 on the basis of rank secured by them according to the score obtained by them. The CMAT 2017 result-cum-merit list will play a vital role in shortlisting of the candidates for the GD/PI rounds of the CMAT 2017 Participating Institutes. The marking scheme followed by AICTE for calculation of CMAT Scores is as follow –

  • 0 mark for not marking answer
  • +4 marks for marking the correct answer
  • -1 mark for marking the incorrect answer

The sectional and overall score and percentile are furnished in the CMAT Merit List. The total score in the test is the net positive marks obtained by the candidate. The CMAT 2017 percentile has been calculated using the following formula –

Percentile in CMAT 2017 (P) = ((N- candidate’s rank)/ N) x 100

(Where P is percentile and N is total number of candidates appeared for exam)

CMAT 2017 Merit List – Tie Breaker

Tie is a situation where two or more candidates obtain the same rank. To break this tie, the ranking is then done on the basis of the sectional CMAT score considered in the order of –  

  • Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Language Comprehension
  • General Awareness

If even after applying the above criteria, tie will still persist then same rank will be assigned to all such candidates but will be displayed by sorting their names alphabetically in the merit list. The CMAT rank of the subsequent candidate will then be extended by the number of additional students having the same rank.

CMAT Result 2017

The CMAT scorecard has been announced by AICTE on February 09, 2017. It has also  declared the  All India Merit List on February 07, 2017. The candidates can check their result and download this merit list by accessing the online window or clicking on the link given here above. For downloading  the score card, the candidates are be required to login to their student account using CMAT 2017 login credentials. On the basis of CMAT score and CMAT 2017 cutoff, the candidates will be able to take admission to various management courses offered by AICTE affiliated B-Schools and management Institutes.
