DSE MBA Admission 2016-18 – The Delhi School of Economics (DSE), University of Delhi (DU), Delhi has released the counselling schedule for DSE MBA Admission 2016-18. Earlier on 21 April 2016, the college released the list of candidates who have been shortlisted and called for the counselling process of MBA (IB/HRD) Batch XXII. This list was released for every category, OBC/SC/ST/CW/PWD and also there was an overall list. The candidates in these lists were placed strictly in the order of merit. Though, this list is available on the official website of DU but for easy access of the same, a link below has been provided. All the shortlisted candidates will get an email regarding counselling call letter and other instructions. Selection Procedure for DSE MBA Admission 2016-18
A common merit list for MBA IB and HRD was prepared on the basis if CAT 2015 percentile of the candidates. Certain selected candidates were called for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview. This was done with a view to identify and process the interpersonal skills in addition to the overall knowledge of the students. The candidates who scored well in the GD/PI have now been called for the counselling process.
Numbers of seats
For each program, there are 73 (62+11) seats, wherein General -31, OBC – 17, SC – 9, ST – 5 = 62. As per University rules, the seats for PWD CW, and foreign students (FS) categories are supernumerary. Over and above 62 seats, there are 11 seats (2 PWD, 3 CW, and 6 FS seats = 11). The number of seats will be less in comparison to the number of candidates invited for counselling.
DSE MBA Admission 2016 – Documents Required for Counselling
Following is the list of documents which must be carried by the candidates for participating in the counselling process –
- Class X and XII mark sheet
- CAT 2015 Scorecard
- Category certificate (If applicable)
The candidates belonging to CW category are required to bring along with them their category certificates issued by the authorities mentioned below –
- Secretary, Kendriya Sainik Board, Delhi
- Secretary, Rajya/Zila Sainik Board, Delhi
- Officer In charge, Record Office
- 1st class stipendary magistrate
- Ministry of Home Affairs (for Police personnel in receipt of Gallantry award)
DSE MBA Admission 2016 – Details of Fee
All candidates belonging to any category (except foreign students) joining the MBA(IB) or (HRD) course will be required to pay the following fee per annum –
- Programme Fee : Rs. 9000
- Enrolment, Admission, Examination : Rs. 6696 (approx.)
- Library Development etc. (as per University rules)
- Contribution towards, “Head of Department Journal and other Publications A/C” : Rs 2000
However, the Foreign Students will have to pay an annual fee of US$ 3, 500. The amount of fee is subject to revision by the University.
