IBSAT Selection Procedure 2016 – The IBSAT 2016 Selection Briefings is scheduled to start from January 20, and end on January 30, 2017. From February 17 to 26, 2017, the IBSAT 2016 selection procedure will start. Only the candidates scoring the minimum cutoff marks will be eligible to participate in the IBSAT pre-admission rounds i.e. Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. The candidates qualifying in the pre-admission rounds will be granted admission into the Management Programmes of the various IBS campuses. There are 9 IBS campuses that will be accepting the IBSAT 2016 score. The IBSAT result was announced on January 06, 2017. Each campus will have their own cutoff scores and will vary from each other. IBSAT Selection Procedure 2016
The entrance test for IBS will be held for admission into the MBA/PGPM programmes of the various IBS campuses. There are 9 campuses of ICFAI Business Schools, which are –

- IBS Dehradun
- IBS Ahmedabad
- IBS Bengaluru
- IBS Gurgaon
- IBS Kolkata
- IBS Jaipur
- IBS Mumbai
- IBS Pune
The candidates scoring the required cutoff marks will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds. For the GE and PI rounds, the candidates will also be called according to the candidate’s CAT 2016/ GMAT (from 2014 onwards)/ NMAT by GMAC 2016 score.
Group Discussion – The GD round will be challenging the candidate’s communication, analytical skills and ability to work in a group. In the group discussion round, a team of 08 to 10 candidates will appear at a time and the allotted time is 15 minutes. At the end of the GD round, each candidate will get a chance to summarize the GD topic according to their opinion.
Personal Interview – On successful performance in the GD round, the candidates will be eligible for the PI rounds. Here, the candidate’s one to one communication skills, aptitude, confidence level and attitude will be tested by the panel of Interviewers. The Interview round is the final round of the IBSAT Selection Procedure 2016.
The final selection will be based on the candidate’s overall performance in the IBSAT/CAT/GMAT/NMAT and GD & PI. However, the candidate’s past academic records will also be taken into account for admission. For a better understanding of the selection criteria, check the table provided below.
