IBSAT 2016 – The ICFAI Business School (IBS) conducted the IBS Aptitude Test (IBSAT) 2016 on December 19, 20, 21, 25, 26 and 27, 2016. The result has been announced on January 06, 2017. It is available online and the candidates can check the same by clicking on the link provided here in this article. The result furnishes the list of shortlisted candidates and these candidates are required to participate in the further selection rounds. The various IBS campuses are located at Dehradun, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai, Jaipur, Pune and Hyderabad. ICFAI Business School has announces the result for IBSAT 2016 on 06 January 2017. The result is available online and the candidates can check the same by accessing the link given here above. To check the result, the candidates are required to enter their Application Number & Password. The result furnishes the list of shortlisted candidates which will be called for GD/PI.
With the release of the result, the various campuses of IBS will be releasing their cutoff marks. The candidates are required to acquire the minimum cutoff marks to be eligible for the pre-admission procedures. The cutoff marks will differ from campus to campus of IBS. The cutoff for IBSAT 2016 is expected to be similar to that of last years.
The candidates scoring the minimum cutoff marks in IBSAT 2016 will be eligible for the selection procedure. The process for IBSAT 2016 selection will be as follows –
- Based on the candidate’s Score, they will be selected for the pre-admission processes. Also, candidates will also be shortlisted on the basis of their CAT 2016/ GMAT (from 2014 onwards)/ NMAT by GMAC 2016 score.
- The candidates are required to score minimum 60% in CAT/NMAT by GMAC or having a score of 500 in GMAT will be shortlisted for the selection rounds.
- These selected will be eligible to participate in the GD and PI rounds of IBS. The final list will be based on the candidate’s overall score i.e. IBSAT or any national test score and GD & PI score.
Before applying for any test or exam, the candidates must be familiar with the eligibility criteria. If the candidates fail to meet the eligibility criteria, then their candidature will be cancelled. Check the list of eligibility criteria provided below –
- Must have completed regular education of 15 years (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+3+4 basis).
- Must be a graduate with minimum 50% aggregate marks from any recognized University with the medium of instruction as English.
Candidates with a valid TOEFL/NELTS/ILETS score can also apply.
- Candidates appearing for the final year of the qualifying exam can also apply for the exam. However, the admission of such candidates will be provisional until they submit the required certificates of their qualifying exam.
- There is no age limit.
Note: For IBS Aptitude Test 2016 Admission, the candidates can apply on the basis of their IBS test 2016 scores/ CAT 2016 scores / GMAT scores (from 2014 onwards and a score of 500 and above)/ NMAT by GMAC 2016 scores (60% and above).
To apply for IBS Aptitude Test 2016, candidates can access the application form via online as well as offline mode. To apply via online mode, the candidates can visit www.ibsindia.org/ibsat/, the official website of IBS India. With the release of the Application form, a link will be provided in this article. With the application form, the candidates are required to attach the required documents and remit the application fee.
The candidates can apply for IBS Test via offline mode by purchasing the Admission Prospectus & Application Form from any of the IBS campus or IBS Marketing Branches. The entrance test for IBS will be held in Computer Based mode across 100 test venues. The exam pattern is designed to test the candidate’s aptitude and basic skills in management. There will be a total of 125 Multiple Choice Questions and the duration of the exam is 120 minutes. These questions will be distributed into sections like Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation & Adequacy & Quantitative Aptitude.
The date for the release of the Admit Card is yet to be announced. The Hall Ticket will be available only to those candidates who have successfully submitted the Application Form. ICFAI will release the IBSAT admit card on the official website of IBS. However, a link will be provided in this article to access the IBS Hall Ticket. The candidates must note that the admit card is an important document and it must be produced to the invigilator in the exam hall. If the candidates fail to do so, then they won’t be allowed to write the exam.
