Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) conducted IGNOU OPEN MMAT XL today, on October 23, 2016. The exam was held in a single shift, from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM. Thousands of aspirants interested in pursuing management courses from IGNOU wrote the test. IGNOU OPENMAT is a pen-paper based test and the candidates were required to their answers in an OMR sheet. They marked their answers using an HB pencil. No student was allowed to take the exam until they produced the valid admit card and the invigilator verified the same.
The question paper was set up according to the IGNOU OPENMAT 2017 exam pattern. Total 200 questions were asked in the test. These were all objective type questions, where the candidates were required to mark one correct answer from the given 4 options. There were 4 sections from which the questions were asked, which are as follow –
- General Awareness
- English Language
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Reasoning Ability
As told above, the duration of the test was of 3 hours. In the test today, 30 questions were asked from GK section and 50 questions each were asked from English & QA section. However, 70 questions were asked from Reasoning section. The difficulty level of the exam was moderate.
The result of IGNOU OPENMAT XL will be declared within 6 to 7 weeks from now. The result will be announced online and based on this result, the eligible candidates will be offered admission to MBA programmes of IGNOU. After the declaration of the result of OPENMAT XL, all the qualified candidates will be required to submit the application form for taking admission to the course. Along with this application form, they will be required to enclose their IGNOU OPEN MAT 2017 score card, identity proof and other relevant documents. This form must be submitted between November 30 to May 31, 2017.
The candidates interested in writing IGNOU OPENMAT XLI can apply for the test till December 15, 2016. The exam will be held on February 5, 2017. IGNOU conducts OPENMAT twice for an academic session.
