IIM Jammu 2016 Cutoff
The cutoff is applied to demarcate the candidates and select the best out of the thousands of candidates who are considered eligible to be called for GD/PI. As told above, the cutoff of IIMs is never officially made available but it is applied. However, after the completion of CAT 2016, it is expected that various experts and private coaching classes may announce the IIM Jammu 2016 Cutoff. It is important for the candidates to score equal to or more marks compared to the minimum CAT percentile. But, crossing the minimum CAT percentile is not enough as the actual and official IIM Jammu 2016 cutoff will be on a higher side as compared to the minimum percentile. Apart from the cutoff, the candidates will be judged on various other parameters too. These may include the past academic record of class 10, 12 & graduation, work experience, gender diversity etc. In order to get a call from IIM Jammu, all the candidates should have an impressive profile and skills to perform well in the personal interview round.
Intake at IIM Jammu for 2016-18 Admission
Last year, no GD/PI was held for admission to IIM Jammu. The candidates were selected on the basis of their CAT 2015 score and submission of their expression of Interest (EOI). On the basis of these, a merit list was prepared by the institute after applying IIM Jammu cutoff 2016. It is expected that this year, the Institute may conduct the PI process and the selection process shall be similar to other IIMs. The 1st PGP 2016-18 Batch at IIM Jammu was proposed to have an intake of 45 students. IIM Jammu – Minimum CAT cutoff of previous year
The minimum CAT cutoff percentile is mentioned in the admission criteria, which is announced every year by the IIMs. This minimum percentile of CAT is usually misunderstood as the actual and the official cutoff. The actual cutoff remains quite high as compared to this minimum cutoff.
The students must note that it is just the minimum qualifying score, which is required to be obtained by every CAT aspirant who wishes to study at one of the IIMs. The only candidates who meet score equal to or more than this cutoff are considered for preliminary shortlisting. Expected IIM Jammu 2016 Cutoff
The students rely on the expert prediction and their own calculations when it comes to cutoff as the IIMs never release the cutoff officially. Since CAT 2016 has not been conduct as of now, so it is difficult to even predict the cutoff percentile of IIM Udaipur. Considering the last year’s cutoff, it can be expected that the cutoff will increase this year. IIM Jammu has started functioning previous year only so the cutoff was not that high to attract the students. But this year, the IIM Jammu 2016 Cutoff is expected to be around 90+ percentile for General category candidates. It may remain on similar line for other categories too.
