IIM Kashipur Admission Criteria 2016-18 – This article is a guide to the Admission Touchstone of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur. These touchstones are required for letting in the right candidates into the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management of IIM Kashipur for the session 2016-18. The Admission Process for selecting students for PGP into IIM Kashipur involves three stages, which are:

i) Shortlisting of candidates for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

ii) Generation of Merit List.

iii) Final Admission List.

IIM Kashipur Admission Criteria 2016

The stage 1 is applicable for all the candidates who have appeared for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 and have applied for IIM Kashipur. Now, the candidates are shortlisted from Stage 1 for admission into IIM Kashipur via Stage 2. And Stage 3 will comprise of the final list according to the merit.

Stage 1 – Shortlisting of candidates for WAT and PI

The candidates can check the least cut-offs in the various sections of CAT 2015 for selecting eligible candidates into WAT and PI for PGP programme of IIM Kashipur. The various sections of CAT 2015 are :

  1. Quantitative Aptitude (QA)

  2. Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR)

  3. Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC)

The candidates from the particular categories securing the above requirements (percentile) in CAT 2015 will be considered eligible for Stage 2.

Stage 2 – Generation of Merit List

Here, Stage 2 is again divided into two parts, which are – a) WAT & PI, b) Assigning components for generating merit list.

(The following will not be considered as work experience – Apprenticeship, Article ship, Internship, etc. As these form an integral part of a course study).

Stage 3: Final Admission List

Grand Total (C) = WAT & PI Total (2a) + Shortlist Total (2b).

To rank the students according to their merit, the Grand Total (C) will be used.

Reservation Policy – According to the reservation policy of Government of India, IIM Kashipur will follow the reservation for Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST), Non-Creamy Other Backward Class (NC – OBC) and PWD (Person With Disability).
