Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 – Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2017 was held on July 2, 2017. It was conducted in pen and paper mode across several examination centres across the state of Karnataka. KEA released the provisional answer key of Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 exam on July 13, 2017. The last date to submit the objections is July 17 (until 5.30 pm). The candidates must ensure that the objections are filed as per the prescribed format. The subject, version code and question number must be clearly mentioned in the objections. Also, the justification must be submitted along with the objection. The final Karnataka PGCET MBA answer key 2017 will be released along with the result.
The merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by candidates in KPGCET exam. The result will be declared only for those candidates who will secure cut off score as per the category. Based on the Karnataka PGCET 2017 MBA Result examination authority will prepare the rank list of candidates as the overall score secured in the entrance exam. After the announcement of the result, the candidates will be able to see college-wise and category-wise cut-off rank. Karnataka PGCET MBA Merit List 2017
The merit list of Karnataka PGCET MBA exam 2017 is released online in the month of July. In the merit list, the score and rank are mentioned against the name and application number of each candidate. In the Karnataka PGCET 2017 merit list, the candidates can check their PGCET score as well as MBA rank. Depending on the availability of seats, the second and third list can also be released.
After the announcement of merit list, the successful candidates are called for counselling. Only those candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria are required to attend the counselling. As far as the qualifying marks are concerned, there is no change this year. Here are some of the eligibility requirements that the candidates need to fulfill-
- To be eligible for this exam, the candidates must have passed Bachelor’s Degree exam with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST and Category 1 of Karnataka candidates).
- Only Karnataka candidates are eligible for reservation. Karnataka candidates are defined as those candidates who have studied in an educational institute, which is located in Karnataka, for a minimum of seven years. It should be a government institute or must be recognised by the government.
Here, it is important to note that the qualifying examination marks will be considered only for the eligibility. The merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the scores obtained in KPGCET.
The application for KPGCET MBA 2017 will be accepted only in the online mode. The application form is available on the official KEA website. After registering themselves on the website, the candidates will have to fill in the required information in the ‘Student Information’ section. Before starting the online registration process, every candidate must keep the following images ready-

Karnataka PGCET MBA Applicatilon Fee 2017
The application fee for KPGCET MBA 2017 exam is Rs. 650 for General and OBC candidates, and Rs. 500 for SC/ ST candidates. The candidates will have to pay the application fee for KPGCET 2017 exam in any of the branches of specific banks. For this, they will have to take the printout of Challan copy and submit it in the bank along with the fee. The bank copy will be retained by the bank and the remaining two copies will be handed over to the candidate.
The admit card for Karnataka PGCET MBA 2017 exam has been released on June 25, 2017. The admit card contains the details of the candidates, exam timings, venue information etc. The students must download Karnataka PGCET hall ticket by visiting the link provided on this page. At the time of downloading Karnataka PGCET admit card 2017, the candidates need to enter the application ID and password. The candidates will have to carry the admission ticket to the examination centre. The candidates are advised to preserve the admit card until the admission process is complete as it will be required at the time of counselling.
KPGCET 2017 MBA section comprises of four sections, namely- Proficiency in English Language, General Knowledge, Test of Reasoning and General Intelligence, and Quantitative Analysis. Each section will have questions from a variety of topics as prescribed in the syllabus. Only multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam. The question paper of KPGCET 2017 MBA will have 100 multiple choice questions. The exam will be conducted for 150 minutes. As per the marking scheme of KPGCET 2017 MBA candidates will secure one mark for every correct answer.
The syllabus for KPGCET MBA exam covers a wide variety of topics. The English section focuses on synonyms, antonyms, idioms & phrases, grammar, sentence correction etc. General Knowledge Section will focus on Indian business environment, social events, economics, political events, current affairs, sports, science and technology etc. In the Reasoning and General Intelligence Section, the questions related to puzzles, diagrams, analogy, verbal ability and analytical ability will be asked. And in the Quantitative Analysis Section, the students can expect questions from arithmetic, data analysis, statistics and related quantitative aspects.
