MAH CET MBA 2017 – The tentative exam dates for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET) for the session 2017-19 has been announced. Every year, the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra conducts the entrance test for admission into the MBA and MMS programmes of the various B-Schools of the state of Maharashtra. The tentative date for the test is March 04 & 05, 2017. The application process is expected to commence from the 2nd week of February 2017. Important Dates for MAH CET MBA 2017

As mentioned above, DTE Maharashtra has released the tentative exam dates for MAH CET 2017. However, the table below provides the list of tentative dates for MAH MBA CET 2017. Eligibility Criteria for MAH CET 2017

It is important for the candidates to be aware of the eligibility norms of the MAH CET MBA 2017. If the candidates fail to meet any of the eligibility norms of the test, then their candidature will be cancelled. Therefore, the candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria for MAH MBA CET before they start with the application process. It must be noted that the eligibility norms for the All India candidates are different from the candidates from the state of Maharashtra. Standard Conditions – The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree of minimum duration of 3 years. Also, the minimum aggregate percentage the candidates must have for Bachelor degree is 50% (SC/ST/PwD of Maharashtra: 45%).

Candidates from Maharashtra State

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • The minimum score for MAH CET 2017 is 30 marks.
  • It is necessary for the candidates to appear for the GD & PI rounds conducted by DTE Maharashtra.

The All India candidates

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • The candidates must have a valid score in CAT/XAT/MAT/JMET/AIMA.
  • It is necessary for the candidates to appear for the GD & PI rounds conducted by DTE Maharashtra.

Application Form for MAH CET 2017

To be eligible to appear for the test i.e. MAH CET 2017, the candidates must make sure that they fill in the application form before the deadline. The MAH MBA CET 2017 application will be available online and the candidates can click on the sub-heading above to access the same. First, the candidates are required to register for the test and then fill in the application form. The application fee for MAH CET 2017 is yet to be announced, however, it is expected that the fee will remain similar to that of the previous year, which is Rs. 1000/- (SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 800/-). Application Fee for MAH CET 2017

As mentioned above, the details of the application fee are yet to be announced. The fee is expected to be similar to that of the previous year. The candidates can make the payment via online as well as offline mode. To pay the MAH MBA CET application fee via online mode, the candidates can select either the Credit/Debit Card/Internet-Banking methods.

To pay the application fee via offline mode, the candidates can opt for Demand Draft or Pay order.

MAH CET 2017 Exam Centres

During the application process, the candidates are required to select the test city. While selecting the exam city, the candidates must make sure that the city is nearby and convenient for travelling. Each city will have an exam centre or venue for the MAH CET. It must be noted that the conducting body holds the right to make changes or reallocate the exam centre.

Admit Card for MAH CET 2017

The hall ticket for MAH CET 2017 will be available online and the candidates can check the same from this article. The candidates must note that the hall ticket is an important document and it must be carried to the exam hall on the day of the test. The hall ticket for MAH CET MBA will furnish details about the candidate, exam and address of the test venue. If the candidates fail to carry the admit card to the exam hall, then they will not be allowed to write the exam. Only the candidates who have successfully submitted the application form before the deadline will be issued the admit card.

MAH CET 2017 Exam pattern

The MBA aspirants preparing for MAH CET 2017 must make sure that they are aware of the test pattern. The exam pattern will help the candidates to understand the structure of the question paper such as the total number of questions, total marks, negative marking, distribution of questions per section and total sections. There will be a total of 200 questions and the candidates are required to solve the paper within 150 minutes. For each correct answer, the candidates will be awarded 1 mark each and there is no negative marking of the test. Syllabus for MAH CET MBA 2017

Once the candidates are familiar with the test pattern of MAH CET, then they are advised to check the exam syllabus. The candidates will become familiar with the topics and sub-topics required for MAH CET 2017. The exam body i.e. DTE Maharashtra will set the syllabus for the test. The candidates are advised to start their preparation early so that they have enough time to revise for the test. The questions for the test will be based on Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension.

MAH CET 2017 Result

In order to access the score card for MAH CET MBA 2017, the candidates are required to enter their application number and Date of Birth. The candidates must note that the result will only be available online. The result will furnish the name of the candidates shortlisted for the counselling rounds.

The final result will be announced after the conduct of the counselling rounds. It will furnish the candidate’s All India, State level, University level and J&K ranks. On accessing the scorecard, the candidates are advised to keep a copy of it for future use.

Cutoff scores for MAH CET 2017

With the announcement of the result, the participating institutes will release their cutoff scores. The candidates must score the minimum cutoff marks to be eligible for the counselling rounds. The cutoff score is expected to remain similar to that of the previous year. Also, the cutoff score will vary with the Institutes.

Counselling rounds of MAH CET 2017

The MAH CET MBA counselling rounds or popularly known as the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The exam body conducts a total of 4 CAP rounds and the last round i.e. the 4th round is held exclusively for the Maharashtra state candidates. In the CAP rounds, the candidates are required to fill in the options for colleges and courses according to their preferences. Based on the filled-in choices of the candidates, availability of seats, reservation norms and merit, the candidates will be allotted seats.

MAH CET 2017 Seat allotment

The shortlisted candidates are required to fill in their options in the CAP rounds and based on the options and other factors, the seats will be allotted to the candidates. The exam official will release the allotment status for the CAP rounds online. These selected candidates are required to visit the ARCs for document verification process and payment of the fee.
