SPJAT 2016 – S P Jain School of Management conducted SPJ Aptitude Test (SPJAT) 2016 on 10 January 2016 at various centres across the nation. SPJAT 2016 was conducted for admission into the Master of Global Business (MGB) and Global MBA (GMBA) programmes into its various campuses. About the Institute

S P Jain School of Global Management is an Australian Business School and was established in 2004. The institute has campuses at Mumbai, Singapore, Sydney and Dubai. This B-School offers both Management undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The institute offers three kinds of MBA, which are as follows –

S P Jain Business School admits candidates on the basis of an MBA entrance exam, S P Jain Aptitude Test (SPJAT). The admissions for GMBA and MGB programme into academic session January 2016 are going on. SPJAT 2016 is the key for seeking admission into this global business school, if candidates don’t have a CAT score of 80+ percentile or a GMAT score of 650+. SPJAT 2016 is an entrance test that has basically been designed to assess the basic management abilities of the candidates. For taking up SPJAT 2016, candidates will be required to get themselves registered for SPJAT 2016 at the official website of S P Jain. S P Jain Aptitude Test – SPJAT 2016 schedule

S P Jain Aptitude Test (SPJAT) 2016 for the Master’s Program of the Institute (MGB and GMBA) is scheduled to be held on 25 October 2015 (Sunday) from 12 noon till 1 pm. SPJAT 2016 will be held on the following cities –

  1. Ahmedabad
  2. Bangalore
  3. Chennai
  4. Chandigarh
  5. Delhi
  6. Indore
  7. Hyderabad
  8. Jaipur
  9. Kolkata
  10. Mumbai
  11. Kochi
  12. Pune
  13. Nagpur

The candidates will receive the test venue address on the SPJAT 2016 Hall Ticket.

NoteCandidates who will submit their applications along with their scores of any of the qualifying aptitude test score (either GMAT 650+/CAT 80 percentile+/SPJAT 2016) and who will meet the overall profile requirements will be called for the Evaluation Round through an email.

SPJAT 2016 – Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for management admissions into S P Jain Business School or before taking up SPJAT 2016 test, candidates must ensure that they fulfil the below listed eligibility criteria –

For taking up SPJAT 2016

  • No age restriction, the business school prefers older candidates as they possess relevant work experience.

  • Candidates must possess a minimum of 15 years of education in order to apply.

  • Candidates must have a graduation degree (as per 10+2+3 system). Candidates with a high academic excellence are selected but candidates having less the 60% in their final year exams can also apply.

For seeking admission into any of the Management Programmes offered

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor degree in any discipline.

  • They should also possess more than 03 years of full time work experience.

  • No maximum age limit; however, it is preferable that the applicant should be at least 24 years old

  • Also they must have aptitude test score, any one of the following –

GMAT – 650+
CAT – 80+ percentile
SPJAT – 80 percentile

Application Process for S P Jain School of Global Management Aptitude Test

Candidates interested into taking admissions into S P Jain Business School will be required to make an online application before the due dates as listed above in the schedule. In order to apply for SPJAT 2016 to be held on 25 October 2015, candidates will have to apply before 16 November 2015. Candidate’s profile and the application submitted by him/her will be screened and they will be informed through an official email whether they are eligible for admission or for taking up SPJAT 2016 test. Also in the same email, the link for SPJAT 2016 link will be provided, candidates will be required to register for the test and take up the test on the scheduled date.

Important Notes for SPJAT 2016

  • Candidates should submit only one application, even if they want to apply for two. Only a single application is acceptable, candidates submitting multiple applications will be disqualified.

  • Also, in view of the program being one, candidates will not be required to apply separately for the three campuses, they will have to send one application only.

  • No certificates/mark sheets will be required to be sent along with the applications. If the candidates will be shortlisted for the evaluation round, then only they will be asked to carry their documents with them for the purpose of verification.

  • Candidates mandatorily required to have “Passport”, for the January 2016 intake, candidates should have their passport in their hand by 01 October 2015.

In case candidates forget to fill in certain details or filled wrong details in their applications and they wish to update their applications, then they will have to send an email at the ID, gmba@spjain.org, with the details they wish to edit or add. The admissions team at S P Jain Business School will update their application. Candidates on their own will not be able to edit their application once submitted. Just for the purpose of making changes in the application, candidates must not re-apply, as this is strictly not allowed.

Registration Fee:

Candidates will have to remit $40 for appearing in the SPJAT test and $50 for appearing in the evaluation round.

SPJAT 2016 Exam Pattern

The SPJAT is intended to test candidates’ IQ, logic and reasoning capacity, mathematical ability, English reading and comprehension ability. Also there will be a section on general knowledge. The basic intention behind conducting this entrance test is to assess the general aptitude of the candidates and also their management skills. The general knowledge section is intended to test the knowledge of current events and normal business awareness.

One hour will be allotted to the candidates for attempting the SPJAT 2016 Exam. The test paper will consist of about 40 to 45 questions. The test will be held in pen-paper format and the pattern of the exam keeps on changing from time to time. Also, negative marking applies to this test. Different questions may have different scales of negative marking, and this is taken into account while calculating candidates’ scores.

The test is held at various locations (as specified in the table above). The sample papers have been provided at the official website, these can be referred to by the candidates and they can draw an idea regarding the SPJAT Exam Pattern from these sample papers.

S P Jain School of Global Management – SPJAT 2016 Admit Card

Admit card will be issued online two days before the exam. Candidates will be required to download the same and bring along with them to the allotted test centre for the purpose of seeking entry. Most probably on 23 October 2015, the admit card for the exam to be held on 25 October 2015 will be issued. No candidate will be given entry without furnishing the valid admit card.

Candidates will need their same registered email ID with which they filled in their applications, in order to download their SPJAT Admit Card.

SPJAT 2016 Result

As the SPJAT is an internal exam, and one of several criteria used to evaluate candidates for admission into the Global MBA program, the conducting authority doesn’t announce SPJAT Result publically. The scores are sent through email to the candidates and also whether their scores meet S P Jain’s requirements. The candidates who have performed well in the exam will be shortlisted for the interview round. The list for shortlisted candidates has been released, candidates can access the list by clicking on the link provided below.

No sectional cut-offs are expected, only SPJAT total score (overall) is accepted and on the basis of it and after considering other parameters, admission will be allotted.
