TSICET 2016 – The candidates who have qualified TSICET 2016 can now participate in the counselling process. The Department of Technical Education, TSCHE is conducting web based TSICET 2016 Counselling. The process comprises of 3 stages, namely, certificate verification, option filling and seat allotment. This web based counselling commences from August 26, 2016. The eligible candidates will be able to take admission into various management courses offered by the colleges of Telangana state. They can access the link given below for more details on counselling. This state level test was held on 19 May and its result was declared on 31 May 2016. TSICET 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the test, the candidates must ensure that the below-listed criteria is met by them.

  • The candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements laid down in the Telangana State Educational Institutions. The candidates other than Indian Nationals will be required to satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned.
  • They should have passed their Bachelors Degree Examination of minimum three years duration from a recognized University/College with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of reserved categories) in the qualifying examination.
  • The candidates who will be appearing for the final year degree examination or waiting for the result can also apply for the test.
  • The qualifying degree, if obtained by Distance Mode Program then it should have recognition by joint committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC.

Qualifying Marks for TSICET 2016

No minimum marks have been prescribed for the candidates belonging to SC/ST & other reserved categories but for candidates belonging to non-reserved categories, qualifying marks in TSICET 2016 will be 25%.

TSICET 2016 Application Form

All the candidates interested in applying for the test will be required to apply online only on the official website of TSICET. The candidates will have to get themselves registered online and fill the online TSICET Application Form 2016. The last date to submit the application form has been extended till 7 April 2016 without the late fee. However, the candidates can apply for the test last by 16 May 2016 with payment of Rs. 10000 as late fee. In the form, the candidates will be required to fill their personal, qualification & contact details etc. But they must ensure that the details filled in the application form should be correct. While filling the form, the candidates will also be required to remit the requisite application fee. 

TSICET 2016 Application Fee

The registration fee for the test is Rs. 250/-. This fee is non-refundable and can be paid at Online Centers/Citizen Service Centers, e – Seva Centers set up in the states of Telangana. Also, the candidates can pay the fee online using Credit Card/Debit Card or Net Banking.

TSICET 2016 Exam Pattern

A total of 200 objective type questions will be asked in the test. The duration of the exam is 2.5 hours, i.e. 150 minutes. The exam will be held in pen-paper mode. The test emphasizes at accuracy and is designed to measure the candidate’s ability to think systematically, to use the verbal and mathematical skills and to assess his/her aptitude for admission into MBA programme. TSICET 2016 Admit Card 

The conducting authority has released the TSICET Admit Card 2016 online on 4 May 2016. It has been issued to all the provisionally registered candidates and is available at the official website of TSICET. The admit card is a mandatory document, one requires to seek entry into the exam centre and to appear in the exam. All the candidates are required to download their respective Admit Card of TSICET online only as it will not be sent through post or email. In case, the candidates will fail to furnish the valid hall admit card, they will not be allowed to take the test. Also, they must retain the admit card even after the conduct of the exam as it may be asked to be produced at the time of counselling.

TSICET 2016 Answer Key

The official answer key (preliminary) will be issued by the conducting authority 21 & 25 May 2016. Though on the exam date itself, various private coaching academies may release the TSICET Answer Key. It will be furnish correct answers to the questions asked in the exam and will be uploaded for all the sets/codes of the examination in a pdf file format. One cannot completely rely on these unofficial answer keys but the candidates can refer these for immediate matching of their answers. The candidates will be provided with an option to send their objections (if any) regarding the preliminary key issued till first week of June 2016. 

TSICET 2016 Result

On 31 May 2016, the result of TSICET 2016 has been released. The candidates are required to enter their respective TSICET 2016 Roll Number for checking their result and downloading of their scorecard. The result will furnish the rank secured by the candidates. Based on the result of TSICET and the cutoff screening, eligible candidates would be selected for the next round of selection process. The selected candidates would be enlisted in a merit list and will be called for counselling cum allotment on the basis of appearance in the list.

      You may attend the counselling as result awaited candidates are also eligible to appear for the test and to participate in the further admission rounds. Though, the exam conducting authority has not mentioned any official date, till when the result awaited candidates will be required to submit the proof of passing the Bachelor’s Degree. You can rest assured, they will allow some time to submit the necessary documents. Hope this will help.

      You may apply for the test but since you saying you have not done your 10th or you don’t have any certificate of it, you may face issues at the time of admission process. The college officials will ask you to submit all your mark sheets and certificates of class 10th, 12th & graduation.

      You can sit for the exam. However, time to submit your originals will be provided by the University as per its norms where you will take admission.

      Negative marking is not applicable in TSICET. However, if the candidate gives more than one answer to any question, such answers will be ignored while awarding marks.No minimum qualifying percentage of marks is prescribed for candidates belonging to BC/SC/ST & other reserved categories. The cutoff marks/ranks will vary for every college that will accept TSICET score.

    • Hi Satish…yes, you will face problems if you don’t have the Caste Certificate and have applied under the same category.
