CAPF 2017: The Schedule of Central Armed Police Forces 2017 (Assistant Commandants) has been announced by the Union Public Service Commission. The official Notification for CAPF 2017 will be announced by the commission on April 12, 2017. The application process is expected to begin on the same day or one day later from the announcement of recruitment process. The recruitment process of CAPF is being conducted for selection of eligible candidates to various posts for different police forces like BSF, CRPF, ITBP and SSB all under Central Armed Police Force. The number of vacancies will be knows after the official notification has been released. All the candidates who are interested will have to ensure fulfillment of the required eligibility criteria specified for CAPF 2017 before they fill the application form. All eligible candidates will have to undergo a written examination followed by Physical Standards Test/ Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Test.
Admit Card for written Examination of CAPF 2017 will be issued 3 weeks prior to the date of examination i.e. by last week of June 2017. The written exam is scheduled to be conducted on July 23, 2017. Eligibility Criteria of CAPF 2017 is a set of mandatory conditions to be fulfilled by all the applicants at the time of form filling. - Both Male and Female aspirants are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants
- Bachelor’s / Graduate degree from a recognized institute is an essential educational requirement
- The age of the applicant should lie between 20 – 25 years as on 1st August 2016
- Candidates will have to possess the minimum physical standards as to be specified in the official notification.
All the candidates interested to apply for recruitment process of Central Armed Police Forces 2017 by UPSC will have to fill the online application form. The Application Process of CAPF 2017 will begin in April, 2017. The last date for online registration is May 5, 2017. Applicants will have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.200/- to complete their applications.
CAPF Exam Centres 2017
Union Public Service will announce the complete list of exam centres to conduct the various levels of exam and tests of CAPF 2017. Candidates will have to provide their choice of exam centre while they fill the application form. Exam Centres will be allotted on first come first serve basis. Candidates will need a e-admit card to appear for the written examination and other stages of the selection procedure. The admit card for CAPF 2017 will be made available 3 weeks before the date of the examination. The examination is scheduled for July 23, 2017 so the admit card is expected by last week of June 2017. Candidates can download the admit card and read all important details from the link hosted above. Only printed copy of the admit card will be accepted on the day of the examination. Admit card in the physical form will not be sent in any mode.
The written examination will be comprised of two papers as follows:
General Ability and Intelligence: The paper will be objective based carrying multiple choice questions. The question paper will be bilingual – English and Hindi. Maximum marks – 250 marks
General Studies, Essay and Comprehension: Here, candidates will have the option of writing the Essay Component in English/Hindi, but the medium of Precise Writing, Comprehension and other language skills will be English only. Maximum marks – 200 marks.
Candidates who will appear for the written exam of CAPF 2017 will need the answer key to evaluate their performance before the announcement of result. Selection of the candidates for the CAPF 2017 recruitment shall be done on the basis of the following: Written Examination, Physical and Medical Standards Tests and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Interview/ Personality Test. Aspirants should be able to qualify in all these stages, however, admission to them will be purely provisional.
The Cutoff is the minimum score for each of the paper to be secured by the candidates for qualifying the exam. The cutoff is decided as per the discretion of the Commission; however, certain factors are taken into consideration while deciding the minimum cutoff marks.
The result for the CAPF 2017 written examination has been released by UPSC. All the qualified candidates will appear in the next selection round – Physical and Medical Standards Tests and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Subsequently, the candidates qualifying the MST and PET/PST will be called to appear for Interview/ Personality Test.
