Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has conducted the Tier III of Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination on March 19, 2017. Around 35,000 candidates had appeared in the Tier III exam of SSC CGL. The candidates who have appeared in the Tier III exam of SSC CGL said that the paper was easy. SSC will declare the final result of SSC CGL in April/May 2017.
The descriptive paper/Tier III has been introduced for the first time in the scheme of SSC CGL exam. The Tier III (Descriptive Test) carried questions on essay writing, precise writing and letter writing. There were total 2 questions and the time allotted was 60 minutes. The topic of the essay was ‘In the event of an earthquake, what you should do and what you should not’ and the topic for letter writing was ‘Considering yourself Narendra/Seema, write a letter to your brother Suresh explaining present advantage of computer-based exam and what will be the future shortfall of it. The Tier III exam was conducted for 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks for Tier III is 33%.
The final result of SSC CGL 2016 will be declared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in Tier I, II, III. Based on the ranks and post preferences, candidates will be provided an appointment to the various Group B and C posts in the government department and ministries.
