SSC MTS 2016 : Staff Selection Commission had announced the recruitment of eligible and deserving candidates for 8300 vacancies Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination-2016 on December 30, 2016. The application form for SSC MTS 2016 commenced from December 31, 2016. The application process of SSC MTS 2016 exam has ended on February 3, 2017. The written examination of Paper-I will be conducted on April 16, 30 and May 7, 2017. The SSC MTS 2016 Admit Card for the Paper-I written exam will be released in March 2017 region-wise. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the written exam will have to appear for Descriptive Type qualifying paper. Candidates selected will be for the post of General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Central Government Ministries / Departments / Offices, in different States / Union Territories. Applicants must have passed Matriculation Examination or any other equivalent examination from a recognized Board. The age limit of the candidate should be 18-25 years as on 1.08.2017.
Online Application Process for SSC MTS 2016 exam has concluded. SSC MTS 2016 Application Form was available from December 31, 2016. The Application Fees for the exam was Rs 100 for General candidates. Women candidates and candidates belonging to ST/SC/Physically handicapped and Ex-Servicemen were exempted from payment of Application Fees. The Payment of Fee was accepted only through State Bank of India Challan generated online or through SBI NET Banking or Credit/Debit Card.

Admit card will be issued to the successfully registered applicants only. The Commission will upload the e-admit card of the candidates on its website. The Direct link to download the admit card will be provided on this page. It is expected to be released in the mid of December. Each candidate is required to bring the print out of their admit card on the day of the exam. The admit card will mention the important details viz. centre of the exam, date of the exam, reporting time at the exam centre etc. In case of any mistake in the admit card, candidates is required to bring it to the notice of the authorities at the earliest for necessary corrections.
As per the scheme of the SSC MTS examination, there shall be two papers viz. Paper – I and Paper – II. Paper- I will be entirely objective while Paper- II will be descriptive in nature. There will be four sections – General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English and General Awareness in the Paper-1. While, the Paper – II will comprise of a Short Essay/Letter to be written in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. Paper- II is simply qualifying in nature. It is intended to test the elementary language skills of the candidates to be suitable for the post. There is also negative marking in the exam. For wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

The Sample Papers of SSC MTS 2016 will be help the candidates to get an idea regarding the pattern of questions, number of questions asked in the exam, total marks per questions etc. Candidates after completing their Syllabus should solve the SSC MTS Sample Papers 2017 regularly to gain knowledge.
The Commission will decide the minimum qualifying marks in both the Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-II is of qualifying in nature Candidates shall be shortlisted for the Paper-II on the basis of their performance in Paper-I. The cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-II may be different for vacancies in each State/UT. Candidates shall be finally selected based on their performance in Paper-I, subject to their satisfying the minimum qualifying marks in Paper-II. The date and time for Paper-II shall be notified later on.
Staff Selection Commission usually announces the result within 2-3 months. The result of the written exam of SSC MTS 2016 shall be announced tentatively in April 2016. List of the successful candidates will be put on the official portal of the Commission. Such candidates will appear in the Paper-II which is descriptive in nature.
The candidates will have to appear for two paper-Paper-I and II under SSC MTS Selection Procedure 2016. Candidates will be shortlisted for Paper-II on the basis of their performance in Paper-I. Paper-II will be of only qualifying in nature. Final Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in Paper-I subjected to meeting the basic qualifying standards fixed for Paper-II.
