BLAT Application Form 2017 – Banaras Hindu University will release the application form for BLAT around the last week of January 2017. The BHU Law Admission Test application forms will be available only in online mode. The test will be held in an offline mode and is expected to be held in the last week of May 2017. BLAT Application Form 2017 – Expected Schedule
The BLAT 2017 notification will release the schedule for the exam. It is important for a BLAT aspirant to be familiar with the dates of the test so that they don’t miss any deadlines. To avoid missing any deadline, the candidates can check the tentative dates regarding the application process.

Eligibility Criteria for BLAT 2017
The candidates applying for BLAT 2017 must make sure that they fulfill all the eligibility norms of the test. The eligibility criteria are the minimum requirements that the candidates must possess in order to be eligible for the test. If the candidates fail to meet any of the eligibility norms, then their candidature will be cancelled.
The candidates must have successfully completed or appearing their Class 12 board exam or equivalent from a recognized Board or University. The minimum marks in the qualifying exam are 50% (OBC: 45%, SC/ST: 40%).
Prerequisites for BLAT Application Form 2017
Before the candidates start applying the application form, the candidates must make sure they have the following things beforehand –
- An email ID.
- A mobile number (active).
- Scanned image of the candidate’s passport-size photograph.
- Scanned image of the candidate’s signature.
- Details about the candidate’s Credit/Debit card and Net Banking.
Specifications of the scanned images
As mentioned above, the candidates are required to upload the scanned images of their passport-size photograph and signature. The candidates must note that these images are meant to fit the size and format prescribed by the exam body. The following are the requirements that the photographs must meet :-
- The images must be in .JPEG format.
- The candidate’s photograph must be in passport-size and coloured.
- The signature must be in a white paper with a black/blue pen.
- The size of the images must not be more than 100 KB.
BLAT 2017 Application Fee
The information brochure will be available with the application form of BLAT 2017. The BLAT brochure will furnish various details of the exam including the fee details. It is expected that the application fee will be similar to that of the previous year. Last year, the fee was Rs. 500/- (SC/ST: Rs. 250/-).
To pay the application fee, the candidates can opt for the online payment mode or the offline payment mode. The candidates can pay the application fee online through the following gateways –
- Net Banking
- Credit Card
- ATM-cum-Debit card
In order to pay the BLAT application fee through offline mode, the candidates are required to download the e-Challan and deposit the cash at any HDFC branch.

Steps to fill the BLAT Application Form 2017
With the release of the application form for BLAT 2017, the candidates can apply for the test from this article. The candidates are advised to check all the eligibility norms and prepare the necessary documents (scanned images) and other details. To fill in the application form for BLAT 2017, the candidates are required to follow these 5 simple steps –
- Registering for BLAT 2017.
- Log in to the registered BLAT 2017 accounts.
- Filling up of the application form.
- Reviewing the completed application form.
- Making the payment of the application fee.
Registering for BLAT 2017 – With the release of the application form, the candidates can click on the link provided above. On clicking the link, the registration form will be available. The candidates are required to enter all the necessary details and submit them. On successful registration, the candidates will receive a confirmation email, an activation link on their email ID and validation code will be sent to their mobile number. Now the candidates are required to follow the steps to access the application form –
- Click on the activation link.
- Enter the validation code.
- Log in with the credentials.
- My Application Section window will open.
Log in to the registered BLAT 2017 accounts – To log in, the candidates are required to enter the provided credentials. Now the candidates are required to select the name of the course, check the eligibility norms and the entrance test date.
Filling up of application form – The candidates are required to click on the Application details tab to access the application form. Now the candidates are required to carefully fill in the application form with the necessary details. Once the candidates are done with the filling up the application form, they must select the test centre. While selecting the test centre, the candidates must make sure that the centre is near to them or easily accessible. Now the candidates must upload their scanned image of photograph and signature.
Reviewing the completed application form – It is important for the candidates to go through the entered details and make sure that they are error free. Once the candidates have reviewed the complete application form and are sure that they are error free, then can click on the Confirm button and submit the form. The candidates are advised to take a printout of the application form for future reference.
On submitting the application form, the candidates can proceed to the fee payment section.
Making the payment of the application fee – The candidates must click on the Make Payment Tab to start with the payment process. Here, the candidate can pay the application fee either by the online or offline method. The BLAT 2017 application fee amount will be available on the admission notice/information brochure of BLAT 2017.
Once the candidates have successfully paid the application fee, they will receive an email regarding the payment confirmation. The candidates are advised to take a printout of the email for future reference.
