BLAT Eligibility Criteria 2017 – The law aspirants preparing for BLAT 2017 are advised to check the eligibility norms of the test before they start with the application process. The BLAT eligibility norms are the minimum requirements that a candidate must possess in order to take admission into the BA LLB programme of the University. The candidates failing to meet the eligibility norms of the test will get their candidature cancelled at any point of time. For admission into the BA LLB programmes of BHU, there are relaxations in the eligibility norms for the candidates applying under theBLAT Eligibility Criteria 2017 reserved category. Around the last week of January 2017, the Banaras Hindu University will release the notification for BLAT 2017 and the test will be held around the 3rd week of May 2017. Details about the BLAT Eligibility Criteria 2017
The BLAT 2017 eligibility norms are the required criteria that the candidates must have to be eligible for admission into the BA LLB programme of BHU. If the candidates fail to meet any of the eligibility norms of the test, then their candidature will be cancelled. Also, it must be noted that the candidates applying under the reserved category must produce the required documents to support their reservation.
To avoid cancellation of the candidature in the later admission rounds, the candidates must check the eligibility criteria of BLAT 2017. Also, it must be noted that the application fee is non-refundable. The BLAT eligibility criteria 2017 are as follows –
- The candidates must have passed their Class 10 + 2 Senior Secondary School or equivalent (11+1, “A” level in Senior School Leaving Certificate course) from a recognized University or a Board recognized by the Union or State Government of India.
- In the qualifying exam, the candidates must have a minimum score of 50% of total marks (OBC: 45%, SC & ST: 40%).
- The candidates appearing
in the qualifying exam are also eligible.
Note: The candidates passing their 10+2 from an open University without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies will be considered ineligible for the test.
There is no age limit to apply for BLAT 2017. Thus, the candidates who have passed the qualifying exam are eligible to apply for BHU BA LLB admission test.
The Banaras Hindu University strictly follows the norms of the Bar Council of India when it comes to the eligibility criteria.
