General Facts of IPU CET Law 2017
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts the Common Entrance test for admission to various courses. The University also conducts the test for admission into the BA LL.B and BBA LL.B programmes of the Institutes. The test will be held for admission into the 1905 seat of the affiliated colleges.

Before the candidates start with the registration procedure, the candidates are requested to check the eligibility norms of the exam. The eligibility norms are the minimum requirements that a candidate must have to be eligible for the admission process. If the candidates fail to meet any of the norms, then their candidature will be cancelled.
To be eligible for the IPU CET Law Admission 2017, the candidates must have passed their Class 10+2 board exam from a recognized board. The minimum required aggregate mark in the Class 12 board exam is 50%. Also, the candidates must have passed English (core or elective or functional) as a subject.
Only the candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria for IPU CET LLB 2017 must start with the registration process. The application forms for IPU CET 2017 will be available only in online mode and the candidates can access the same by clicking on the sub-heading above. The candidates must fill in the application form with the necessary details. Only the candidates successfully submitting the application form will be eligible to write the test.
With the commencement of the application process, the candidates must register by entering the required details. On successful registration, the candidates will be eligible to access the application form for IPU CET Law 2017. Application Fee for IPU CET Law 2017
Details regarding the application fee will be furnished in the notification for GGSIPU CET Law 2017. The candidates can pay the application fee only via online mode. Last year, the IPU CET Law application fee was Rs. 1000/- (excluding the processing charges and taxes).
The candidates can pay the application fee through Credit/Debit Card and Net Banking. No other method for the payment of the fee will be available.
Reservation of seats for IPU CET Law programme
The reservation norms will vary with the participating Institutes for GGSIPU CET Law 2017. However, there will be a relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility requirements for the candidates applying under Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (ST)/Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel/Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
The candidates applying under any reserved categories are required to produce the documents supporting their reservations during the Document Verification rounds.

IPU CET Exam Centres 2017
The entrance test for IPU Law is held only in the city of Delhi. The list of exam centres will be announced after the release of the IPU CET 2017 notification.
The candidates who have submitted the application form before the deadline will be allotted the admit card for IPU CET 2017. The admit card will be available online 7 days prior to the exam date. The candidates can access the admit card by clicking on the sub-heading above. To access the admit card, the candidates are required to login into their accounts.
The admit card is an important document and the candidates are required to produce it to the invigilator on the day of the exam to seek entry into the exam hall. If the candidates fail to produce the exam hall, then they will not be allowed to write the exam. The hall ticket for IPU CET Law 2017 will furnish the details of the candidate as well of the exam.
The candidates preparing for the entrance test must be familiar with the test pattern. With the help of the test patten, the candidates will be able to prepare accordingly and will be familiar with the distribution of the questions. In the IPU CET law 2017, the candidates are required to solve as many as 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The duration of the test is 2 hours 30 minutes i.e. 150 minutes. The test will be held in an offline mode and the total mark is 600.

There is no definite syllabus for the IPU Law entrance test. To prepare for the test, the candidates can follow the topics of the exam pattern. The topics mentioned in the exam pattern are required to be covered for the exam.
The result for GGSIPU Law entrance test 2017 will be available in online mode. The result is expected to be announced in the 1st week of May 2017. To check the result, the candidates are required to enter their CET roll number, select the programme and click on Submit. The candidates can check their result by clicking on the sub-head above.
The result will be available online only and will furnish the candidate’s name, category and rank.
The University will also release the merit list and will be available online in PDF format. The candidates are can to download the merit list by clicking on the sub-head above. Based on the merit list, the candidates will be called for the counselling rounds. The merit list for IPU CET Law 2017 will furnish the following details –
- CET Roll Number
The cutoff marks the minimum scores that the candidates must score to be eligible for the admission rounds. The cutoff scores will be determined by the University and will vary for each Institute. Also, the cutoff marks will be different for the various categories. After the announcement of the result, the cutoff scores will be announced.
Based on the merit list and cutoff marks, the counselling rounds will be conducted by the University. To start with the counselling process, the candidates are required to register online. The counselling round involves document verification rounds and seat allotment process. The candidates are required to be present physically for the counselling rounds at the provided venue on the given date.
There will be 3 rounds of counselling for admission into the 5-year B.A. LL.B and B.B.A. LL.B programmes of the University and other participating Institutes.
