ap mbbs admission 2017AP MBBS Admission 2017 – The admission to MBBS and BDS programmes offered in the medical and dental colleges of Andhra Pradesh to be done on the basis of NEET 2017 score. The merit list of the AP MBBS 2017 has been released by the Dr. NTR University of Health and Science on July 3. It is provisional merit list prepared on the basis of NEET 2017 result. The merit list contains the name, NEET rank, roll number, marks, name, category, and percentile. The registration process of AP MBBS 2017 is available from July 5, 2017 online. The admission process of AP MBBS 2017 is to be organised by the Dr. NTR University of Health and Science. There are approximately 4450 MBBS seats in Andhra Pradesh. Admission to all and dental programmes offered in the State medical and dental colleges whether established by the central government, state government, university, deemed university, trust, society, company, minority institutions or corporation will be offered by JNTU. Unlike other states In Andhra Pradesh, there are no seats reserved for the All India Quota. 100% seat in medical and dental institutes comes under state Quota. Also, candidates belonging to Andhra Pradesh will not be eligible to apply for the 15% All India Quota of medical/dental institutes situated outside Andhra Pradesh. However, the candidates who are not domiciled (born in the state) in Andhra Pradesh and have been only living in the state for a while can apply for All India Quota along with a self declaration form. Such candidates will be not be eligible to apply for one of the medical/dental institutes of Andhra Pradesh. AP MBBS 2017 Application form

The application form of AP MBBS 2017 is available from July 5, 2017 online. The last date to fill and submit the online application form is July 12, 2017. The registration and verificaton fee is Rs. 2,500/- (Bank transaction charges extra) for OC/BC category and Rs. 2,000/- (Bank transaction charges extra) for SC/ST categories. Access the link to AP MBBS online application form provided on this page to register. The applicants will need to submit the personal, educational, address and NEET 2017 marks and rank details. The payment for the registration charges can be made by any of the following methods AP Online /TS Online/ E-Seva / Mee Seva or Debit / Credit Card. Only those candidates who will register themselves successfully for AP MBBS admission will be included in the merit list of AP MBBS 2017.


AP MBBS 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for AP MBBS 2017, the candidates need to make sure that they fulfil the listed eligibility criteria

Age – The candidate must have attained the age of 17 by December 31, 2017.

NationalityThe candidate should be an Indian National or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Card Holder.

Domicile: The candidates should should satisfy the local or non – local status in Andhra Pradesh (Residence requirement) as laid down in Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admissions).

Educational Qualification – The candidate must have passed 10+2 with the following subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Biotechnology and English.

Qualifying marks – The candidates need to secure minimum qualifying percentage in 10+2 in their respective category. The minimum qualifying percentage in 10+2 is as follows OC – 50%, BC/SC/ST – 40%, OC PH – 45%

Qualifying marks for NEET 2017 – Only those candidates who will qualify NEET 2017 will be eligible to apply for AP MBBS Admission. Below are the category wise cutoff marks for NEET 2017.

AP MBBS 2017 Merit list

The merit list of the AP MBBS 2017 has been released by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU) on July 3. It is provisional merit list prepared on the basis of NEET 2017 result. It contain name, NEET rank, roll number, marks, name, category, the percentile of the candidates. Through this an idea of final merit list can be figured. The merit list of AP MBBS 2017 will be published after the completion of the registration process on July 14, 2017. Admission to medical and dental institutions of Andhra Pradesh will be offered on the basis final merit list of AP MBBS


AP MBBS 2017 Counselling

AP MBBS counselling will be conducted in the online mode. The counselling will be done on the basis of merit postion of the AP MBBS 2017 meit list. Firstly, the registered candidates have to exercise the filling and locking of choices. To exercise the options, the candidates need to enter the Hall Ticket number, registration, password and date of birth. If all the entered details are correct, the available choices of the courses and colleges will appear on the screen. Out of the available choices, the candidtaes can select the desirable options. The candidate should through the codes of the colleges before exercising the options. The selection, deletetion, modification can be done as per the convenience. The print out of selected and saved choices can be taken. The seat will be allotted based on choices exercised and merit postion of the candidates. The candidates will be charged RS.100,000 as the cancellation fee in case they cancelled the admission.

Necessary documents required at the time of the AP MBBS 2017 Counselling

Below are are important documents to be produced at the time of the document verification.

  • Admit card of NEET UG – 2017
  • Rank card of NEET UG-2017
  • SSC or equivalent examination containing the Date of Birth
  • Memorandum of marks of qualifying examination i.e., Intermediate or Equivalent examination.
  • Transfer certificate (T.C)
  • Study Certificates from 6th class to Intermediate.
  • Permanent Caste Certificate (Integrated Community Certificate) claiming reservation under BC/SC/ST Categories issued by an Officer prescribed. Service records & SSC/ SSLC certificate of parent/ relative if parent is not in-service
  • Aadhar Card
  • Minority certificates issued by the concerned Department
  • Candidates who have studied in the institutions outside of Andhra Pradesh have to submit 10 years (years of period to be specified) residence certificate of the candidate or either of the parent issued by MRO / Tahsildar
  • The candidates claiming fee exemption shall produce the latest Income certificate of the Parent issued by MRO / Tahsildar/with Ration card.
  • Undertaking in the form of Affidavit on Rs. 100 /- Stamp paper by the Parent and candidate stating that the caste and area mentioned in the certificates are genuine and they will be held responsible for any further consequences as per LAW if any discrepancy noticed.
  • Local status certificate issued by MRO for claiming as AP local as per Candidates claiming eligibility of reservation under Special categories i.e., CAP, NCC, Sports & Games, PH, PMC and Anglo Indian should furnish the required certificate in support of their claim.

AP MBBS 2017 Reservation of Seats

Admission to 85% of the seats shall be reserved in favour of the local candidates in relation to the local area as provided in A.P. Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission).

The Non local candidates are eligible for 15% unreserved seats only. The local candidates are also eligible for 15% unreserved seats.
