Bihar MBBS Admission 2017: The admission procedure of Bihar MBBS Admission 2017 will start tentatively after the completion of NEET 2017 examination. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board will be the conducting authority of the Bihar MBBS Admission 2017. Under the directive of the Supreme Court of India, the state level entrance examination has been scrapped off and now the admission process will be done through counselling sessions. The applicants selected for the counselling session will be on the basis of the merit list released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.

Certain eligibility criteria need to be fulfilled by the applicants in order to be qualified for the admission procedure of Bihar MBBS Admission 2017. The eligibility criteria set by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board is given below:
- Nationality: The applicant must be of Indian nationality.
- Age: Must be 17 years old at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before December 31, 2017.
- Domicile Requirements: The applicant must be a resident of Bihar. The parents of the applicant must be residents of Bihar or must be working in other states as an employee of Bihar government. The applicants whose parents are working in Bihar as an employee of Government of India or Public Sector Undertaking of (Govt. of India) are also eligible for admission.
- Educational Qualifications: Completion of 10+2 (or equivalent) examination must have been done from a recognized institute with the requisite percentage.
- Marks Requirement: General category applicants should have secured 50% marks collectively in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the 10+2 exam while reserved category applicants should have scored 40% marks.
- NEET 2017: Applicants belonging to the general category should have scores 50th Percentile while applicants of reserved category have to score 40th Percentile in NEET 2017.
- Medical: The applicants should be medically fit.
Reservation Criteria of Bihar MBBS Admission 2017
The state of Bihar offers reservation of seats to all reserved categories. In Bihar, Other Backward Classes (OBC) is divided into Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) and Backward Classes (BC). The reservation status of each category is given below:

Bihar MBBS Admission 2017 Merit List
The Central Board of Secondary Education will release the state merit list after the declaration of NEET 2017 Result. The merit list of Bihar MBBS Admission 2017 will be based on the merit list released by the Central Board of Secondary Education. All applicants who have successfully qualified NEET 2017 and are present in the merit list released by CBSE are eligible to apply online for the counselling session of Bihar MBBS Admission 2017. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the applicant in NEET 2017 and the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria by the applicant.
The application form of Bihar MBBS Admission 2017 will be available online tentatively from 4th week of June, 2017 till the 5th week of June, 2017. All eligible applicants can fill the form to register themselves for the counselling process. Personal details and contact details will be needed during registration after which the applicant will be provided with his/her UGMAC-ID. The UGMAC-ID is to be kept very safely by the applicant for future use. After logging in with the UGMAC-ID, the applicant will be required to pay the counselling fee. Payment of the fee can be made through offline or online mode.
After successful payment of counselling fee, the applicant will be required to fill in his/her personal details. Uploading of photograph and signature of the applicant will also need to be done. Following the submission of documents, educational information of the applicant is to be filled and submitted. The applicants will also need to fill in their choices of college and courses and confirm them. Final review of the application form must be done before submission. A print out of the filled online application form is to be taken by the applicant for future use.
The applicants have to paste their passport size photograph in the print out of the application form along with signing the form at the appropriate places. The challan should also be attached to the application form in case payment is done in offline mode along with photo copies of required documents. The application form should be brought during the counselling session.
Counselling Fee of Bihar MBBS Admission 2017
The applicants will need to pay the counselling fee while registering for the counselling session of Bihar MBBS Admission 2017. Payment can be done through online mode via net banking/credit card/debit card or through offline mode via challan which is to be deposited at any branch of Canara Bank. In online mode, some transaction processing fee and service tax will have to be paid extra by the applicant and in offline mode; bank charge of Rs. 60 will have to be paid.

Counselling of Bihar MBBS Admission 2017
The seats will be allotted to the applicants online. The allotment of seats will be purely based on the applicant’s ranking in the merit list and the choices filled by them. The applicants will receive an allotment letter of provisional seat allotted to them during the counselling session. The applicants are advised to download the provisional allotment letter and report at the counselling centre. Finally, the applicants will be able to check their allotted seat online and download their final allotment letter. The applicants, who have been successfully allotted seats, will have to report at their allotted institute for document verification and payment of fees on or before the last date mentioned in the allotment letter.
