State Quota Seats
|1||Educational Qualifications||Applicants should have secured minimum required marks in NEET 2017.Should have passed at least two exams out of the following examinations from institutions recognized by the state of Himachal Pradesh and affiliated to ICSE/CBSE/H/P Board of education or equivalent Boards.
Bonafide Himachali students who are admitted Navodya Schools of Himachal Pradesh and who have passed the matric or +2 examinations under the exchange programme from other Navodya schools in the country are also eligible.

|3||Educational Qualification||Should have qualified 10+2 or ISCE examination after 12 years of study with the last two years comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
Should have passed the B.Sc Examination of an Indian University with at least two of the subjects Physics, Biology and Chemistry. Earlier qualifying examination with Chemistry, Physics, Biology and English should have been passed too.
The applicant should have qualified any other examination which is equivalent to the intermediate science examination of Indian University/Board which includes Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology.

The application forms of Himachal Pradesh MBBS Admission 2017 will be released tentatively in the 2nd week of August, 2017. All applicants are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the counselling procedure of Himachal Pradesh MBBS Admission 2017. Merit List of Himachal Pradesh MBBS Admission 2017
The University of Himachal Pradesh will be conducting the admission process of Himachal Pradesh MBBS 2017. A combined as well as category wise merit list will be released by the University for all of the qualified candidates who have successfully submitted their application forms. The new ranks in order of merit will be assigned to the candidates in the merit list for admission into the MBBS/BDS courses in Government Medical/Dental Colleges including private un-aided Medical/Dental colleges for filling up 85% and 50% seats under State Quota and Management Quota seats in private un-aided Medical/Dental colleges.
Counselling of Himachal Pradesh MBBS Admission 2017
The counselling session of all qualified candidates as per new merit ranks assigned on the merit list will be held tentatively in the 1st week of September, 2017 in the H.P University Auditorium, Summer Hill. Shimla – 5. There will be no separate call letters and all candidates will have to present for the counselling accordingly. Admissions through counselling will be done in a combined manner. The combined list of general and reserved candidates will be allotted seats based strictly based on their ranking in the merit list. The candidates under the category merit list will be provided seats after the combined list candidates. All candidates will be allotted seats according to their preference and ranking. After being allotted seats, the selected candidates will be called in for medical examination and document verification in their allotted institute. Payment of fees will also have to be done by the candidates according to the timeline provided by their allotted institute.

Important Points of Himachal Pradesh MBBS 2017 Counselling
- In case due to unavoidable circumstances a candidate is not able to attend the counselling session, then he/she may depute an authorized person to make his/her choices during counselling.
- Final eligibility of the candidates will be determined by the verification of documents. In case the candidates are found eligible later in the admission process, they will be disqualified.
- A candidate can be rejected if he/she attends the counselling session with incomplete documents/certificates.
- If the candidate had not submitted the copy or printout of the online application form along with the documents, then he/she will have to have to bring it on the day of the counselling. Failure to bring the printout will lead to disqualification.
