Kerala MBBS Admission 2017Kerala MBBS Admission 2017: The admission in various medical courses will be through NEET. However, the candidates will be required to fill the online Application Form of Kerala MBBS 2017, which is available from February 01, 2017. Only candidates who will register themselves will be permitted for the admission in MBBS and BDS courses offered by medical and dental colleges of Kerela. The last date for online registrations is February 27, 2017. The filled in form must be printed and sent to the CEE with relevant documents by February 28, 2017. On the basis of NEET scores, the conducting authority will prepare a merit list, through which the aspirants will be allotted seats. The state level medical entrance examination of Kerala will not be conducted. Admissions will be done based on NEET scores and fulfillment of eligibility criteria by the student. The Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE) will be responsible for the counselling process of Kerala MBBS Admission 2017.

Eligibility Criteria of Kerala MBBS Admission 2017

Before applying for the counselling process of Kerala MBBS Admission 2017, candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria to know if they are qualified for the counselling or not.

Kerala MBBS 2017 Application Form

The candidates will be required to register themselves for the admission process. The online Application Form of Kerala MBBS 2017 is available from February 01, 2017. Candidates can submit the online application form along with fee until February 27, 2017. The last date to send the print out of the application form along with the relevant documents is February 28, 2017.

The candidates filling the online application form need to follow the 06 crucial steps, which includes- Registration, Uploading of images as per the specifications, Filling the application form, Remittance of application fee, Taking a print out of the filled in form, Sending it to the CEE with documents.

It is mandatory for the candidates to pay the application fee. The candidates under ST category will not have to pay the application fee. The SC category candidates will be required to pay Rs. 400/-, whereas, Rs. 800/- must be paid by general category candidates. The fee can be remitted in online mode through debit/credit cards or net banking, or it can be paid through e-challan by taking a print out of challan. The cash payment can be done at selected band of State Bank of Travancore (SBT) or at all head and sub Post Offices in Kerala state.


Merit List of Kerala MBBS 2017

The Commissioner of Entrance Examination will be releasing the merit list on or before June 20, 2017, of the qualified candidates for the counselling process. The merit list will be based on the NEET ranking of the candidate and the eligibility criteria fixed by the state. The merit list will be released according to the different categories like General, Reservation, Physically Handicapped and more.


Counselling of Kerala MBBS Admission 2017

The counselling of Kerala MBBS Admission 2017 will be a Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) done through the Single Window System to provide seats of government/public medical colleges to all eligible applicants. This system is named “Allotments through Online Submission of Options”. Candidates will be allotted seats according to their preference, ranking of the candidate and eligibility criteria as set by the state. The Centralized Allotment Process will be done by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala with the technical support of National Informatics Centre (NIC). All eligible candidates will be notified about the counselling through the merit list.

CEE will conduct Trial Allotment before the closure of registrations for counselling. The trial allotment will be done to give the candidates a general idea about the chances of getting allotted to a course and college based on options and rank of the candidate.

After registration, the candidates will be allotted seats and the results will be published in the official website. The allotment letter will consist of the name of the allotted college along with the fee to be submitted.

The candidates will have to submit the course fees as prescribed in the allotment letter to the account of CEE in specified branches of State Bank of Travancore (SBT) as per the time schedule given by CEE. A receipt will be issued by the bank after payment of fees as a token of fee remittance. Failure to pay the fees on or before the last day of payment will result in disqualification from their allotment as well as further allotments.

Verification of documents will be done after being allotted seats. Candidates will have to submit original documents to their allotted institute while going through their admission process. The list of documents needed by the candidates is:

  • NEET 2017 Allotment Letter
  • NEET 2017 Admit Card
  • Mark sheet and Pass Certificate of 10+2 (or equivalent) examination
  • Proof of date of birth
  • Physical fitness certificate
  • Eligibility criteria from any University of Kerala for candidates passed a qualifying examination other than 10+2 conducted by the Government of Kerala or CBSE or CISCE.
  • Receipt of payment of fees
  • Transfer certificate from the last attended institute
  • Migration certificate (if application)
