NEET PG 2017 Merit List – The candidates can now check the Merit List of NEET PG 2017. The result-cum-scorecard of NEET PG was announced earlier. However, on January 22, 2017, NBE has also released the NEET PG Merit List. The Testing ID, Name, Category, Score and Qualifying Status is mentioned in it. The Board has announced the scores for all the entrants. However, only those candidates are meritorious who have scored more than the cutoff marks. As per the NEET PG 2017 Merit List, 31330 candidates have qualified and are eligible to participate in NEET PG 2017 online counselling for admission to 50% All India quota seats in MD/MS Diploma Courses in government medical colleges across India. Admission of candidates in MD/MS programmes will be done strictly on the basis of candidate’s rank and their preference for the colleges and programmes. NEET PG 2017 Merit List will be the basis for admission to only 50% All India quota seats. While the admission to state quota MD/MS/Diploma seats will be done on the basis of state merit list which will be also drawn from NEET PG 2017 result after applying domicile criteria of respective states.

Overall merit list of NEET PG 2017 is issued by NBE on Jan 13, 2017 and 50% All India merit list was declared on Jan 14, 2017. Also, each state will release their merit list separately. In the table below, the link to all the state merit list will be hosted as and when released

Types of NEET PG 2017 Merit List
Merit list of NEET PG 2017 has been issued on Jan 13, 2017. The merit list constitute of rank secured by the candidates on All India level. The qualifying criteria will be as per the National Board of Examination. Below is the information related to separate quota merit list.
All India 50% Quota Rank – It is for the All India 50% quota candidates. Based on the merit position secured by the candidates the admission will be provided for MD/MS and postgraduate courses. The rank list will be irrespective of the candidate domicile/ selected domicile. It will be prepared for all the domicile candidates except for Jammu Kashmir/Telangana/Andhra Pradesh. It has been declared on Jan 13, 2017.
All India 50% quota Category Rank list – The overall merit position of the candidate for the category candidates (OBC/SC/ST) will be reflected in this list. It is valid for the NEET PG 2017 All India Quota and is valid only for the 50% quota MD/MS post graduate diploma courses 2017 session. It was released on Jan 14, 2017.
State quota/ Private medical colleges/Deemed University/AFMS rank –The merit list will be released for state quota rank, state category, the benefit for in service, rural posting will be determined by the designated agency/authority of the concerned states /university after implementing the eligibility criteria, guidelines and reservation policies.
Admission to DNB CET Broad speciality courses – The admission into the DNB CET speciality courses will be offered on the basis of NEET PG Merit list.
State Merit List
The candidates should note that the NEET PG state-wise merit list will be released by each state authority separately. Below are the important points related to the NEET PG State Merit list
- The state-wise merit list will include the name of all the appeared candidates irrespective of their percentile/ score, whether the candidate completed his/her MBBS degree from that state or chosen the state as the domicile.
- The final merit list will be prepared by the state authority after implementing the rules, guidelines, criteria, reservation policies.
- The candidate willing to be considered under the category of a specific state needs to select that state at the time of the online registration.
- The candidate will have to verify from the particular state authority whether he/she will be considered by the state authority. Appearing and qualifying the NEET PG does not make the candidate eligible for the state quota seats.
- The National Board of Examination will not entertain any query or claim related to the domicile of the candidates
- Apart from mentioning the status of the domicile and the state from which the MBBS has been done the candidates need to specify whether they are eligible for any other state or not. However, it is up to the state authority to consider or not to consider the candidature.
- Apart from colleges like AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER etc, there are no other state or medical institute that will conduct their own medical entrance examination. All the admission will be offered through NEET-PG only.
