Tamil Nadu MBBS Admission 2017 – The admission to MBBS and BDS programmes offered in all medical and dental colleges of Tamil Nadu to be done on the basis of NEET 2017 score. Tamil Nadu MBBS Admission 2017 is scheduled to begin in the month of June after the declaration of NEET 2017 score. The admission of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2017 is to be organised by the Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education. Tamil Nadu MBBS Admission 2017 is to be held for admission to all and dental programmes offered in the State medical and dental colleges whether established by the central government, state government, university, deemed university, trust, society, company, minority institutions or corporation. According to Medical Council on India (MCI), around 6660 MBBS and thousands of BDS seats available in government as well private medical and dental colleges of Tamil Nadu. Among all the seats in government medical and dental colleges of Tamil Nadu, 15% are reserved for all India quota (AIQ) and to be filled through NEET 2017 score. Tamil Nadu MBBS Admission 2017 for 15% all India quota and Deemed University seats to be done by online counseling conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The 85% state quota seats in state government medical and dental colleges of Tamil Nadu to be filled through counselling conducted by Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education, Tamil Nadu. Earlier, Tamil Nadu MBBS Admission was done on the basis of 10+2/HSC marks but from 2017 academic session admission to MBBS and BDS seats in Tamil Nadu to be filled only through NEET score.

The eligibility criteria required for Tamil Nadu MBBS 2017 is given below.
Nationality: Candidate should be a Citizen of India. Overseas Citizens of India who are registered under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act,1955
Domicile: Candidate should be a Native of Tamil Nadu
Age Limit: Should have completed the age of Seventeen years on or before December 31, 2017. Evidence should be produced.
Education Qualification: Candidates should have passed in all the subjects of the qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board /any other equivalent Board in one and the same attempt ( Single Sitting ) in the following group of subjects with the minimum eligible marks in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology or Biology with any other subject.

The application form of Tamil Nadu Medical 2017 admission will be available in the month June (tentatively). Tamil Nadu Medical 2017 Admission Form can be either downloaded or can be obtained from any of the participating medical/dental colleges on payment of requisite fee on or before the last date. To participate in Tamil Nadu Medical 2017 admission process candidates have to send filled in Tamil Nadu Medical application form 2017 along with requisite documents and demand draft (for application fee) to the Secretary, Selection Committee. The merit list of Tamil Nadu Medical 2017 will be prepared by Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education. The Tamil Nadu MBBS 2017 Merit List will be based on NEET Score 2017. The Tamil Nadu MBBS 2017 Merit List will be prepared for only those candidates who had appeared in NEET. The merit list will have candidates name, state rank, NEET 2017 roll number, etc. Based on the merit list candidates will be allowed to participate in counselling for allotment of MBBS and BDS seats in medical and dental colleges in Tamil Nadu.
The counselling of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2017 will be conducted in online mode by Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education. The Tamil Nadu MBBS 2017 counselling will be held in two rounds beginning in the month of July. According to official, the counselling will be conducted only in 2 rounds and candidates will not be allowed to leave their allotted seats after the second round. The counselling of Tamil Nadu Medical 2017 will be the basis for allotment of all MBBS and BDS seats in government and private medical and dental colleges of located in the state.
