Telangana MBBS 2017 Admission – The admission to MBBS and BDS programmes offered in the medical and dental colleges of Telangana to be done on the basis of NEET 2017 score. The merit list of the Telangana MBBS 2017 has been released by the Dr. NTR University of Health and Science on July 8. It is provisional list prepared on the basis of NEET 2017 result which contains name, NEET rank, roll number, marks, category, and percentile of the candidates. The registration process of Telangana MBBS 2017 is open from July 9, 2017 online. The admission process of Telangana MBBS 2017 is to be organised by the Dr. NTR University of Health and Science. The Final Telangana MBBS merit list based on which admission will be offered to MBBS and BDS courses of Telangana will release on July 21. There are approximately 4450 MBBS seats in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh combinedly. Admission to all and dental programmes offered in the both the States medical and dental colleges whether established by the central government, state government, university, deemed university, trust, society, company, minority institutions or corporation will be offered by JNTU. Unlike other states, Telangana does not have All India Quota seats. 100% seat in medical and dental institutes comes under state Quota. Also, candidates belonging to Telangana will not be eligible to apply for the 15% All India Quota of medical/dental institutes situated outside Telangana. However, the candidates who are not domiciled (born in the state) in Telangana and have been only living in the state for a while can apply for All India Quota along with a self declaration form. Such candidates will be not be eligible to apply for one of the medical/dental institutes of Telangana. Telangana MBBS 2017 Application Form Available Here
The application form of Telangana MBBS 2017 is available from July 9 to 19. The candidates can access the Telaangana MBBS application form 2017 from this page. The application fee for the General category is Rs. 2500 while SC/ST candidates have to pay Rs. 2000 online, bank charges has to be paid extra. The applicants can provide the personal, education, address and NEET marks related details in the application form.
It is advised to the candidates to go through following eligibility conditions before applying for Telangana MBBS admission.
Age – The candidate must have attained the age of 17 by December 31, 2017.
Nationality – The candidate should be an Indian National or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Card Holder.
Domicile: The candidates should satisfy the local or non – local status in Telangana (Residence requirement) as laid down by the counselling conducting authority.
Educational Qualification – The candidate must have passed 10+2 with the following subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Biotechnology and English.
Qualifying marks – The candidates need to secure minimum qualifying percentage in 10+2 in their respective category. The minimum qualifying percentage in 10+2 is as follows OC – 50%, BC/SC/STl – 40%, OC PH – 45%

Telangana MBBS 2017 merit list will be available in the third week of July. Based on the merit position of the eligible candidates will be offered admission into MBBS and BDS courses of Telangana. However, Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, has released the list of candidates who appeared from Telangana for NEET 2017. It contains the name, category, subject wise marks., total score of the candidates etc.
Telangana MBBS counselling will be conducted in the online mode. The counselling will be done on the basis of merit position of the Telangana MBBS 2017 merit list. Firstly, the registered candidates have to exercise the filling and locking of choices. To exercise the options, the candidates need to enter the Hall Ticket number, registration, password and date of birth. If all the entered details are correct, the available choices of the courses and colleges will appear on the screen. Out of the available choices, the candidates can select the desirable options. The candidate should through the codes of the colleges before exercising the options. The selection, deletion, modification can be done as per the convenience. The print out of selected and saved choices can be taken. The seat will be allotted based on choices exercised and merit position of the candidates. The candidates will be charged Rs.100,000 as the cancellation fee in case they cancelled the admission.
Necessary documents required at time of the Telangana MBBS 2017 Counselling
Below are are important documents to be produced at the time of the document verification.
- Admit card of NEET 2017
- Rank card of NEET 2017
- SSC or equivalent examination containing the Date of Birth
- Memorandum of marks of qualifying examination i.e., Intermediate or Equivalent examination.
- Transfer certificate (T.C)
- Study Certificates from 6th class to Intermediate.
- Permanent Caste Certificate (Integrated Community Certificate) claiming reservation under BC/SC/ST Categories issued by an Officer prescribed. Service records & SSC/ SSLC certificate of parent/ relative if parent is not in-service
- Aadhar Card
- Minority certificates issued by the concerned Department
- Candidates who have studied in the institutions outside of Telangana have to submit 10 years (years of period to be specified) residence certificate of the candidate or either of the parent issued by MRO / Tahsildar
- The candidates claiming fee exemption shall produce the latest Income certificate of the Parent issued by MRO / Tahsildar/with Ration card.
- Undertaking in the form of Affidavit on Rs. 100 /- Stamp paper by the Parent and candidate stating that the caste and area mentioned in the certificates are genuine and they will be held responsible for any further consequences as per LAW if any discrepancy noticed.
- Local status certificate issued by MRO for claiming as Telangana local as per Candidates claiming eligibility of reservation under Special categories i.e., CAP, NCC, Sports & Games, PH, PMC and Anglo Indian should furnish the required certificate in support of their claim.
