Telangana MBBS Admission 2017: The state of Telangana will not be conducting their medical entrance examination. Instead all admissions will be done through counselling sessions held by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. The online application forms for Telangana MBBS Admission 2017 will be released tentatively in the 3rd week of June, 2017 and will be available till the 1st week of July, 2017. The counselling session will be tentatively held in the 5th week of July, 2017. Previously, Telangana used to conduct their separate entrance examination and counselling sessions. However, following the directive of the Supreme Court of India, all medical admissions under the state of Telangana will be done through NEET 2017. The scores of the applicants in NEET 2017 will be the determining factor in the admission process.

Telangana MBBS 2017 Eligibility Criteria
All applicants will be required to fulfill and meet certain criteria set by the admission committee of Telangana MBBS Admission 2017. The state criteria will have to be met for applicants to be eligible for the admission procedure. If any applicant fails to meet the criteria listed below, then he/she will be disqualified.
- Nationality – The applicants should be of Indian nationality or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) card holders.
- Age: Should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2017.
- Education: Should have completed 10+2 and passed individually in Physics, English, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology)/Biotechnology.
- Marks Requirement: The general category applicants should have secured 50% marks as an aggregate of Physics, Biology/Biotechnology and Chemistry in 10+2 while the reserved category applicants should have scored 40% marks.
- Domicile: The applicants should belong to the state of Telangana.
- NEET 2017: 50th Percentile has to be scored by the applicants belonging to the general category while reserved category applicants have to score 40th Percentile.
Telangana MBBS 2017 Application Form
The online application form of Telangana MBBS Admission 2017 will be available tentatively from the 3rd week of June, 2017. Medical aspirants will be able to access and fill the application form from the link given. Link will be updated as soon as it is released. All applicants are requested to read the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Only eligible applicants can fill the application form. If any applicant is found ineligible he/she will be disqualified.
Registrations will have to be done by the applicants first. While doing registration, the applicants will also be required to pay the registration fees through TS Online or Credit/Debit Card. After successfully paying the fees, the applicants will be directed to the online application form to complete the process. The applicants will have to fill in their personal details, category information, qualification examination details and address of correspondence. After filling the details, the applicants will be required to upload their scanned photograph and signature according to the required specifications. Filling and locking of choices will have to be done by the applicants from the available choices, the applicants will have to choose their preference and lock it. The filled application form can be checked again and submitted. The applicants are advised to download the filled form and print it for future use.

Telangana MBBS 2017 Merit List
The admission committee of Telangana MBBS 2017 Merit List will be announcing the merit list consisting of the eligible applicants tentatively in the 3rd week of July, 2017. The released merit list will consist of the ranks and names of all applicants who have successfully qualified for the counselling session. The merit list will be prepared using the scores secured by the applicant in the merit list released for NEET 2017 by CBSE. All admissions under Telangana MBBS 2017 will be done based on the ranking of the applicant in the released merit list.
Telangana MBBS 2017 Counselling
The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad will be the conducting body for the counselling session of Telangana MBBS Admission 2017. The counselling will be held in online mode. Applicants will be alloted seats based on their ranking in the merit list. Only those eligible applicants who have registered themselves and filled the application form successfully will be selected for the counselling session of the state of Telangana.
Based on the ranking of the applicants in the merit list, the applicants will be allotted seats in the various medical institutes of Telangana. The availability of seats in the institute will also be an important factor while allotting seats to the applicants. After successfully alloting seats to all eligible applicants, the list of allotted seats and applicants will be released online. The applicants will be able to check the list online. After the release of the allotment letter, the applicants will be required to report at their allotted institute for document verification and confirmation of admission. Payment of the required tuition fees will also have to be done. If any applicant fails to report at the institute with the original documents or is not able to pay the tuition fees, then he/she will be disqualified.
In case there are still vacant seats left after the first round of counselling, then a second round will also be held. All those applicants who failed to get admission in the first round will be allowed to participate in the second round of counselling.
