Eligibility Criteria of UP MBBS Admission 2017
All interested applicants will have to fulfil the eligibility criteria of UP MBBS Admission 2017 as set by the conducting authority.
- Age: The applicant has to be 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2017. There will be no exceptions made for anyone.
- Educational Qualifications: Should have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. If the course content of the applicant in 10+2 is not as prescribed by the National Committee, then the applicants will have to undergo a period of one year pre-professional training before admission to Medical/Dental College.
- Marks Requirements: The general category applicants applying for UP MBBS Admission 2017 should have qualified 10+2 with 50% marks as an aggregate of Physics, Biology and Chemistry while the reserved category applicants should have secure 40% marks.
- NEET 2017 Marks: General category applicants are required to secure 50th Percentile in NEET 2017 whereas reserved category applicants are required to score 40th Percentile.
- Domicile Requirements: Must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Residential certificate is not required if 10th and 12th standard examinations are completed in an institution recognized by the state. In case, only one of the above examinations is completed by the applicant in the state, then a residential certificate will have to be produced.
Reservation of UP MBBS Admission 2017
UP MBBS Admission 2017 offers some seats for reservation to different categories.
The online application form of UP MBBS Admission 2017 will be available tentatively from the 3rd week of June, 2017 till the 5th week of June, 2017. The applicants will have to fill in the online form and register themselves. While filling the application form, personal and educational details about the applicant will have to be filled in. Uploading of scanned documents such as photograph, signature and NEET 2017 Admit Card according to the specifications mentioned by the authority will be required. Non-refundable application fee will also have to be paid through online mode by the applicant. The form has to be submitted successfully for the application to be accepted. Merit List of UP MBBS Admission 2017
The merit list will be released by the state of Uttar Pradesh tentatively in the 5th week of June, 2017 after the application form closes down. The merit list will be released taking into account the state merit list released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The UP MBBS 2017 Merit List will be decided based on the state merit list and the successful submission of application form by the applicant. Failure to submit the application form will lead to disqualification of the applicant. Based on the ranking of the applicant in the merit list, they will be called in for the counselling process.
Counselling of UP MBBS Admission 2017
The counselling process of UP MBBS Admission 2017 will be held offline. The applicants will have to be physically present during the counselling session. Based on the rank in the merit list, applicants will be called in for counselling. Allotment of seats during counselling will be done according to the applicant’s rank and preference for the courses and colleges. Original documents of the applicant along with the photocopies have to be brought during counselling. Counselling fee of Rs. 5000 also has to be paid by the applicants through online payment. The counselling fee will not be returned in case the applicant does not report to the allotted institute or leaves after fulfilling all admission procedure. The second round of counselling will be held if there are still vacant seats left after the first round. After being allotted seats, the applicants will have to report to their allotted institute for document verification and payment of fees.
