Along with the NEET scores, West Bengal MBBS Admission 2017 aspirants have to fulfil certain criteria to be eligible to apply and qualify for admission into the various participating institutes.

Applications for West Bengal MBBS Admission 2017 will tentatively start from the 4th week of August, 2016. Candidates applying for West Bengal MBBS Admission 2017 are advised to read the eligibility criteria before filling the application form to check if they are eligible for the course or not.
The following steps needs to be followed by the candidates while filling the West Bengal MBBS 2017 Application Form.
- Candidates will have to register for West Bengal MBBS 2017 Counselling Process. Click Here (Link will be updated after it is activated)
- Candidates have to fill in their personal details while registering for the counselling process.
- Candidates will have to select either offline or online mode for payment of fees. For offline payment, an e-challan will be generated for candidates to make the payment which has to be downloaded.
- After paying the fees, candidates have to submit their Transaction ID while logging in using “New User Registration After Payment”.
- Candidates will then have to fill in their address and select a security question of their account. Password also has to be changed by the candidate.
- After submitting, a registration slip is generated which is to be taken as a print out for future use.
- After logging in again, candidates now have to select their preferred college and lock it by clicking on “Save”. Editing cannot be done after locking. The preferred choice of the candidate will reflect on the screen and the candidate can take a print out for future use.
- Allotment of seats is then done as per the candidates’ rank in NEET. Candidates who successfully secure a seat are then requested to go to the allotted college for document verification and payment of fees.

Merit List of West Bengal MBBS 2017
The merit list of West Bengal MBBS 2017 will be tentatively released on the 1st week of September, 2017. Candidates securing the minimum required score in NEET and also fulfilling all of the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the West Bengal Joint Admissions Board will qualify for the counselling process. Qualified candidates have to attend the counselling process to secure a seat under West Bengal MBBS 2017.
West Bengal MBBS 2017 Reservation of Seats
A number of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the reserved category. Reserved category candidates are requested to submit their official valid certificate confirming their category while filling the application form online and also during counselling process.

West Bengal MBBS 2017 Counselling
Candidates who have secured the NEET qualifying marks and fulfil all of the eligibility criteria will be called in for Counselling. Online counselling is done to admit candidates into the MBBS and BDS course and is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Department of Health & Family Welfare, West Bengal.
The names of qualified candidates are released in batches and candidates have to go online for their counselling. During the counselling process, candidates are allotted seats in different institutes according to their choices which they had previously mentioned in their application form. After the seat allotment, the candidates have to report at the allotted institute for document verification and payment of fees. The following documents need to be brought to the allotted institute for document verification by the candidate:
- Allotment Letter
- Duly filled up Verification Form
- Reporting centre copy of E-Challan form showing the bank transaction ID
- Class 12 Mark Sheet
- Age Proof (Birth Certificate/Class 10 Admit Card or Certificate)
- Medical Certificate
- ST/SC/OBC A or B/PH certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile Certificate
After the document verification, candidates have to pay the tuition fees at their allotted institutes. Failing to bring any of the above mentioned documents may lead to disqualification of the candidate. The counselling process is carried on for the second and third round until all the available seats are filled.
