West Bengal MBBS Admission 2017 – The admission to MBBS and BDS courses is to done on the basis of NEET scores in all medical and dental colleges of West Bengal. The online registration for UP MBBS admission has started from July 11. Candidates who have qualified in NEET and belongs to West Bengal can fill the application form of West Bengal MBBS 2017 until July 16. The West Bengal MBBS admission 2017 is to be conducted by Directorate of Medical Education, West Bengal. Along with the NEET scores, West Bengal MBBS Admission 2017 aspirants have to fulfil certain criteria to be eligible to apply and qualify for admission into the various participating institutes.
|1.||Citizenship||Candidates have to be a citizen of India|
|2.||Age||Candidates have to be of minimum 17 years old|
|4.||Education||Candidates should have completed their Higher Secondary (10+2) examination or equivalent examination from a recognized institute.|
|5.||Qualifying Marks||Candidates should have passed individually in Physics, Biology, Chemistry and English.
General – Minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biological Sciences taken together. 30% marks in English.
ST/SC/OBC – Minimum of 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biological Sciences taken together. 30% marks in English.
PWD – Minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biological Sciences taken together. 30% marks in English.

- Candidates will have to register for West Bengal MBBS 2017 Counselling Process
- Candidates have to fill in their personal details while registering for the counselling process
- Candidates will have to select either offline or online mode for payment of fees. For offline payment, an e-challan will be generated for candidates to make the payment which has to be downloaded
- After paying the fees, candidates have to submit their Transaction ID while logging in using “New User Registration After Payment”
- Candidates will then have to fill in their address and select a security question of their account. Password also has to be changed by the candidate
- After submitting, a registration slip is generated which is to be taken as a print out for future use
- After logging in again, candidates now have to select their preferred college and lock it by clicking on “Save”. Editing cannot be done after locking. The preferred choice of the candidate will reflect on the screen and the candidate can take a print out for future use
- Allotment of seats is then done as per the candidates’ rank in NEET. Candidates who successfully secure a seat are then requested to go to the allotted college for document verification and payment of fees
Application Fee of West Bengal MBBS 2017

The merit list of West Bengal MBBS 2017 will be available on July 19. The West Bengal MBBS merit list will be derived from NEET scores only. Only the candidates who have filled in the West Bengal MBBS application form and have qualified in NEET 2017 will be listed in West Bengal MBBS merit list 2017. The merit list displays name of candidates, state rank, NEET scores, roll number etc. As per the merit list candidates will be called for counselling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses offered by medical and dental colleges of West Bengal.
The counselling of West Bengal MBBS 2017 has started from July 19. Online counselling is done to admit candidates into the MBBS and BDS course and is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, West Bengal. During the counselling process, candidates are allotted seats to candidates as per their state merit rank, preferences of courses & colleges and availability of seats. After the seat allotment, the candidates have to report at the allotted Institute for document verification and payment of fees. The following documents need to be brought to the allotted institute for document verification by the candidate:

- Duly filled up Verification Form
- Reporting centre copy of E-Challan form showing the bank transaction ID
- Class 12 Mark Sheet
- Age Proof (Birth Certificate/Class 10 Admit Card or Certificate)
- Medical Certificate
- ST/SC/OBC A or B/PH certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile Certificate
After the document verification, candidates have to pay the tuition fees at their allotted institutes. Failing to bring any of the above-mentioned documents may lead to disqualification of the candidate. The counselling process is carried on for the second and third round until all the available seats are filled.
