According to an official notification by CBSE, the admit card of NEET 2017 will be available from April 22. The date for availability of NEET 2017 admit card has been postponed as examination authority needs more time to issue the admit card because many candidates who are above 25 years of age has applied for NEET 2017.

After the Supreme Court (SC) order on NEET eligibility criteria on age limit the application form was reopened for candidates who are above 25 years. . “In order to accept applications of candidates above 25 years of age, admit cards will now be hosted on April 22,” reads the notification.

The NEET 2017 application form for candidates above 25 years of age was available from March 31 to April 5, 2017. Earlier, the application process NEET was started on January 31, and ended on March 1.

The examination authority, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will issue NEET 2017 admit card for all those candidates who successfully filled their application form and paid the requisite fee. The NEET admit card will be available in online mode only, therefore, candidates must download it as it will not be sent through post or couriers. To download admit card of NEET 2017 candidates will have to enter their registration number and date of birth. National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) is scheduled to be conducted on May 7, 2017 in pen paper mode.

The NEET admit card will contain the details like name, roll number, time and address of the exam centre etc. The candidates should go through all the particulars of NEET admit card at the time of downloading it and in case of discrepancy they must contact CBSE office to rectify it.

The admit card is available to download from April 22, 2017, the candidates have to download it on or before the exam day i.e. May 7. To know more on NEET hall ticket, read below.

Steps to download NEET 2017 Admit card

In order to download the NEET 2017 admit card, candidates need to follow listed steps

Step 2NEET 2017 admit card window portal will appear on the screen
Step 3Enter registration number and password followed by security pin
Step 4Click on ‘submit’ button
Step 5NEET admit card 2017 will be displayed on the screen, download it and retain 2 to 3 copies of the same

If the candidates do not have access to the internet facility, they can visit Common Service Centres (CSC) set up by the CBSE and download NEET 2017 hall ticket. CBSE has set up more 2.4 lacs CSC from where NEET admit card can be downloaded by paying Rs. 10.

This year, CBSE has received highest registrations for NEET. Around 12 lacs candidates applied for NEET for pursuing MBBS or BDS programmes from government, private and deemed medical or dental colleges of India.

Necessary documents to be carried on exam day

It is compulsory for all the candidates to carry listed documents on examination day

  • One post card size photograph to affix on performa
  • One passport size photograph to affix on attendance sheet
  • NEET 2017 admit card having a passport size photo on it.

NEET 2017 is being conducted in around 104 cities at 2200 examination centres. It will be conducted in pen paper mode and candidates will get 3 hours to complete the test. There will be 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology subjects. For each correct answer, 4 marks will be rewarded and for the incorrect one 1 mark will be deducted.
