The wait for NEET 2017 result will soon be over. The Supreme Court has allowed the CBSE to declare the NEET result. The apex court has stayed the Madras High Court order in which the CBSE was restrained from declaring the result of NEET 2017 exam. The Court also asked the high courts not to entertain any more petitions related to the NEET exam. The SC’s order comes amid growing anxiety among medical aspirants who had appeared for NEET exam on May 7, 2017. The result is expected to be announced before June 26, 2017. The CBSE will shortly announce the final date of the NEET result 2017.

How the Events Unfolded?
Last month, a group of students and parents had filed a petition in Madras HC requesting re-conduct of the exam on the ground that the question papers in English/ Hindi and regional languages were different. On June 9, CBSE moved to the Supreme Court and requested for an urgent hearing. The CBSE, in its plea, said that any further delay in the NEET result will jeopardise the future of lakhs of medical aspirants across the country. According to the media reports, the CBSE said in the court that the result of the NEET exam will be declared by June 26, 2017.
NEET 2017 exam was conducted on May 7, 2017, Around 11.38 lakh students appeared for the exam, which was conducted in 10 languages. On the basis of the NEET 2017 result, the candidates will be selected for the admissions to MBBS and BDS courses offered by the medical institutes across the country.
