National Board of Education has issued the notification regarding the NEET Super Speciality examination. As per the notice, the National Eligibility Entrance examination (NEET SS) in order to offer admission into the super speciality courses across the medical institutes of India will be organised on June, 10, 2017. It is the single window entrance examination through which the admission into the courses like DM/M.ch/PDCC is offered.
Through NEET SS 2017, admission will be offered into the all the private, medical colleges, institutions, universities, deemed universities and Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions across the Nation.
“NEET for entrance to DM/MCh in terms of Section 10 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 as amended in 2016 shall be conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). The examination shall be held at various cities on June 10, 2017”, said the statement
NEET SS 2017 Exam Pattern
Below are the important points related to the exam pattern of the NEET SS 2017
- It will be computer based examination
- The syllabus for the NEET SS is the core subjects taught in MD/MS followed at medical colleges in India duly prescribed or adopted by Medical Council of India
“No other examination either at state level or institutional level entrance examination conducted by any university, medical colleges or institutions shall be valid as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 with effect from 2017 admission session,” it said.
There are few institutes which are exempted from NEET SS and will conduct their own medical entrance examination to offer admission into the speciality course. Theses institutes are as follows AIIMS, New Delhi /PGIMER, Chandigarh/ SRICHITRA, Thiruvanathapuram /NIMHANS, Bengaluru /JIPMER, Puducherry
