The entrance examination of PGIMER 2017 will be held today. The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) will be conducting the entrance examination for all applicants who had successfully registered themselves for admission. The examination will be held in offline mode at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh for admissions into MD/MS courses.
All applicants who have been successfully registered and have already downloaded their admit card will have to visit the examination venue to sit for the test. On the basis of the scores secured by the applicant in the exam, he/she will be called in for counseling and may be allotted a seat in the institute.
Admissions into the postgraduate courses available in PGIMER will be done through the pen and paper based examination being held today. The question paper will consist of 250 multiple choice questions based on syllabus studied by the applicants during their under-graduation (MBBS) course. The examination will be 3 hours long. Negative marking will be done in case of incorrect response, as prescribed by the marking scheme of the examination.
The admission committee may release the PGIMER 2017 Answer Key after the conclusion of the examination. If the answer key is released, the applicants will be able to access it through the link provided here. However, it is to be noted that in the previous years, no answer key has been released by the official authorities.
The result of PGIMER 2017 is scheduled to be released on the next day i.e., November 21, 2016. PGIMER 2017 Result will be released online and will be computerized through an assessment which is objective and free of human bias and subjectivity. The merit list will be released soon after and then the counselling session will be held for allotment of seats.
