catCAT 2017: Common Admission Test or CAT is scheduled to be conducted on November 26 by IIM Lucknow. Over 2.31 lakh candidates have registered to take CAT 2017. The exam will be held in computer based mode across 140 test cities in two slots – forenoon and afternoon. CAT admit card is available from October 25, candidates have to download it online by entering user id and password. IIM Lucknow has released CAT mock test on October 30 for candidates to get an idea of the exam pattern and types of questions asked in the exam. The three-hour test will consist of 100 Multiple Choice and Non-Multiple Choice questions from Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Ability (QA). CAT 2017 Admit Card

Candidates who have successfully submitted the CAT 2017 application form before the end date has been issued the admit card. The CAT 2017 admit card is an important document that provides details about the candidate, address of the exam venue, timings of the test, details about the test, etc. The CAT 2017 hall ticket is available only in online mode and the exam conducting body wont be sending any hard copy of the admit card via mail or courier. On the day of the test, candidates must make sure to carry the CAT 2017 admit card to the exam centre. The invigilator will ask for it and only after producing it, will the candidate be allowed to enter the examination hall. Even after the test, it is advised candidates keep their admit card safely. The CAT 2017 admit card will provide the following details

  • Name and Date of Birth of Candidates.
  • Candidates Registration Number.
  • Category of the Candidates.
  • Address of the Examination Venue.

CAT 2017 Exam Pattern

Since 2009, CAT is being held as a computer-based test. There will be a total of 100 questions divided into 3 sections. CAT 2017 will contain both Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) as well as non-MCQs. For each section, candidates will be provided with 60 minutes and the total duration of the test is 180 minutes. The various sections of CAT 2017 are

CAT maintains the reputation of bringing changes in its admission or test pattern. CAT 2017 Exam Centres

CAT 2017 will be held at test centers across 140 cities. Over the years, the number of CAT exam centre have increased consistently. Each year, more cities are added to the list of examination centres to make things convenient for candidates. Last year, CAT was conducted in 138 cities across India. Here, it must be noted that candidates can choose up to 4 examination centres at the time of filling the CAT 2017 application form. Based on their choices, exam centres are allotted to the candidates.

CAT Exam Day Guidelines 2017

With just few days left for CAT 2017, its imperative for candidates to go through the exam day guidelines prescribed by the exam conducting body. Candidates are advised to follow CAT exam day guidelines to avoid any chaos or confusion before the exam. Here are the list of CAT exam day guidelines 2017.

  • Aspirants whose exam is slated in the forenoon session should reach the exam centre at 7.30 am. Those appearing the afternoon session should reach at 1 pm.

  • Candidates should take their CAT admit card along with photo-identity proof without which they will not be allowed to take the test.

  • Cellphones, electronics, watches, calculators, wallets, goggles are not allowed inside the examination hall.

  • Rough pad and pen will be provided to the candidates therefore any kind of stationaries are not allowed inside the examination hall.

CAT Exam Analysis 2017

CAT exam analysis will be released by coaching institutes like TIME, Career Launcher, VistaMind, Bulls eye after completion of each slot. CAT exam analysis will help candidates to get an idea of the overall and sectional difficulty of the exam, topics, distribution of questions and marks as per topics and sections.

CAT Answer Key 2017

CAT answer key 2017 contain correct answers to questions asked from different sections - Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Ability (QA). Cross-verifying the answers from CAT answer key candidates will be able to calculate probable score based on the number of correct and incorrect. The answer key is released for pen and paper based test but CAT is a computer based exam and questions asked in the exam are not disclosed by the examination authority or coaching institutes. Moreover, candidates have to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement at the time of application where they cannot disclose any matter related to CAT. CAT Cutoff 2017

CAT cutoff is released by some of the IIMs. Test takers must note that these cutoff scores are the minimum marks required to get shortlisted for the counselling rounds. For each Institute, the cut-off scores varies. Also, along with the category of candidates, the cut-off scores differ. While preparing the cut-off scores, the following factors are considered

  • The difficulty level of the examination.

  • The total number of candidates appeared for the test.

  • The number of seats available.

  • Reservation policy of the Institute.

CAT 2017 Result

CAT 2017 results will be available online and test takers are required to log in with their User ID and Password. Results will provide the score and percentile (sectional & overall) along with details of the candidate. Test takers are required to take a print out of the result for future reference. After the announcement of CAT 2017 results, the various IIMs will release their list of shortlisted candidates for the pre-admission rounds. Only those candidates having obtained the minimum required cut-off scores will be eligible for the Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Written Ability Test (WAT) rounds. Candidates must keep their CAT 2017 score card safe until the conclusion of the counseling rounds.

CAT 2017 Selection Procedure

Each participating institute has its own selection process. The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their CAT 2017 cut-off scores. In most of the institutes, the shortlisted candidates have to appear for the Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Some of the institutes also conduct Group Discussion (GD).

The IIMs follow a rigorous selection process to ensure that only the best candidates are selected. Over the last few years, the GD round has been replaced by WAT round in some of the IIMs. Apart from CAT 2017 and GD/ WAT/ PI scores, the IIMs and other B-Schools may take into consideration the following factors while selecting the candidates

  • Past academic record
  • Work experience
  • Extra-curricular activities

CAT 2017 Participating Institutes

The CAT is primarily conducted for admissions to the various MBA programmes offered by the 20 IIMs. The exam is conducted by the IIMs on a rotational basis. However, CAT scores are accepted by more than 100 management institutes across the country. These include both government and private institutes. CAT 2017 Application Form

CAT 2017 online registration ended on September 25. The CAT application form for 2017 was Rs. 1800 (SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 900), payable online through credit/debit card, net banking, cash card and wallet. The application form covers two stages. First stage includes online registration to get the login id and password while the second stage includes filling up the application form by entering personal and academic details among others. CAT application form 2017: Correction Window

The CAT correction window is open for a period of three days. Candidates can make changes to their application form within this three-day period. Candidates can correct limited details such as percentage or marks, work experience, programme name and interview city.After the three-day CAT application correction window closes no changes will be entertained by the examination authority.

Except the year 2013 when the number of applicants reduced by around 20,000, the number of CAT applicants has only gone up consistently since 2010. CAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria

All 20 IIMs abide by the reservation norms prescribed by the Government of India. Seats are reserved for the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD). Candidates applying for CAT 2017 under the reserved category are required to upload necessary documents and also produce the same at the time of admissions. UPSEE MBA Eligibility Criteria 2018

To be eligible to appear in UPSEE MBA 2018, candidates must have a three-year Bachelors degree from a recognised university/institute, having secured a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST). However, there is no age restriction to apply for UPSEE MBA 2018. Each institute has its own prescribed sets of UPSEE MBA eligibility criteria 2018 which must be fulfilled. Candidates appearing for the sixth semester bachelors exams are also eligible to apply for UPSEE MBA 2018.

UPSEE MBA Admit Card 2018

UPSEE MBA 2018 admit card will be issued in the second week of April 2018. Admit cards will be issued online to candidates who have successfully completed the registration process. Candidates can download the admit card of UPSEE MBA 2018 using login id and password. UPSEE MBA Exam Pattern 2018

Given below is the AKTU prescribed UPSEE MBA exam pattern 2018 which will comprise four sections.

The test contains 100 objective type questions and maximum number of marks that can be obtained is 400. 4 marks will be awarded to candidates for every correct answer and no marks deducted for incorrect answers. The exam is conducted for a duration of 120 minutes.

UPSEE MBA Syllabus 2018

The main goal of UPSEE MBA 2018 test is to evaluate the verbal capability, quantitative aptitude, logical and abstract reasoning and knowledge of current affairs. English Language (Section A) comprises grammar, vocabulary, uncommon words, sentence completion, synonyms and antonyms, relationship between words and phrases and passage comprehension. Numerical Aptitude (Section B) contains numerical calculations, arithmetic, simple algebra, geometry and trigonometry, interpretation of graphs, charts and tables. Thinking and Decision Making (Section C) consists of questions related to creative thinking, unfamiliar relationships, verbal reasoning, finding patterns and trends, and assessment of figures and diagrams. General Awareness (Section D) tests a candidates knowledge of current affairs and issues related to trade, industry, economy, sports, culture and science.

UPSEE MBA Answer Key 2018

The answer key of UPSEE MBA 2018 will be made available as a pdf file and contain answers to questions from the four sections in the exam. The UPSEE MBA answer key 2018 will be released along with the result of the examination. However, experts release the answer keys soon after the exam. Candidates are to match the answers attempted with the declared answer key and estimate their score. The answer key makes it feasible for candidates to ascertain their chance of securing a seat for the course in their college of preference.

UPSEE MBA Result 2018

AKTU will announce the result of UPSEE MBA 2018 by the fourth week of May 2018. The results, along with merit position, score card with total marks will be made available online on the official website. The list will be prepared on the basis of candidates performance in the UPSEE MBA 2018, that is, merit wise. According to norms maintained by the UP State Govt, the cutoff percentage for passing the UPSEE MBA 2018 is 25% (20% for SC/ST).

UPSEE MBA Cutoff 2018

AKTU will announce the UPSEE MBA cutoff 2018 after the declaration of result. Candidates securing the minimum required UPSEE MBA 2018 cutoff scores will be eligible for counselling. The examination conducting body prepares the UPSEE MBA cutoff 2018. Factors that would decide the UPSEE cutoff score of MBA 2018 are the number of test takers, number of seats available, difficuly level of the exam, etc. However, each participating institute will have their own UPSEE MBA cut off marks and therefore the ranks will not be uniform for each college. Results will be made available online on the official website and candidates can check their results from the same.

UPSEE MBA Counselling 2018

Candidates who have obtained the minimum number of marks which has been declared as the UPSEE MBA cut off 2018 will be called for the counselling process. Qualifying candidates have to first register themselves on the official website. UPSEE MBA 2018 counselling will begin from the third/fourth week June 2018. A total of five rounds is expected to be held, namely, Registration, Choice Filling, Document Verification, Seat Allotment, and Seat Confirmation. Candidates participating in the counselling process are required to pay a registration fee, payable online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking. IGNOU OPENMAT Admit Card 2018

The admit card for IGNOU OPENMAT 2018 XLII exam has been released. IGNOU OPENMAT admitcard is available online however the hard copy of admit card will also be sent to candidates by post. The candidates must carry their hall ticket of IGNOU OPENMAT XLII to the allotted test centre on the day of the examination. No candidate will be allowed entry into the exam centre, in case he/she fails to furnish a valid admit card.

You can only apply for IGNOU OPENMAT 2018only if you will be satisfying the eligibility norms. Without the satisfaction of eligibility criteria, no candidate will be considered for admissions. The eligibility criteria for OPENMAT 2018 Exam is as follow -

  • The candidate must be a graduate with at least 50% marks (45% for candidates belonging to reserved categories)
  • If the student has taken CAT/MAT and cleared the exam, then he or she needs not appearing in the entrance examination.
  • There is no age limit for the aspirant that clearly means that aspirant of any age is eligible for the test.

IGNOU OPENMAT Application Form 2018

FMS Delhi MBA Admission 2018 eligibility criteria

As per FMS Delhi MBA Admission 2018 eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates must have completed their Bachelors degree programme with at least 50% for general category while that for OBC/PWD/CW candidates it is 45%.

FMS Delhi MBA Admission 2018 selection procedure

FMS, New Delhi has made substantial changes to its MBA Admission 2018 selection procedure. Going forward, the premier academic institution has decided to assign different weightages to the scores of different sections of CAT 2017. A composite score will be calculated, the basis of which will be 30% weightage given to the QA section, 30% to the DILR section and 40% to the VRC section as provided by the CAT centre for the CAT 2017 entrance exam, applicable to candidates applying for admission to FMS.

SET BBA Eligibility Criteria 2018

SIU has defined certain eligibility criteria for SET BBA exam that every candidate must fulfill. Candidates appearing for SET BBA 2018 exam must fulfill the following eligibility criteria.

  • Candidates should have passed class 12 examination from any recognised board with minimum 50% of marks (General category) and 45% of marks (SC/ ST category)
  • Candidates who have appeared for their class 12 final exams and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply

SET BBA Reservation of Seats 2018

SET BBA 2018 reservation of seats would be based on the guidelines issued by the government of India. There are 2 institutes in total offering admission to around 450 BBA seats in its respective institutes. Reservation of seats is made in favour of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Differently Abled Candidates, Armed Forces Dependents, Kashmiri Migrants and International Students. SIU is expected to declare SET BBA 2018 result within 15 days after the conduct of the test. SET BBA result 2018 will be available in online mode. Candidates can check their SET BBA exam result by entering their SET ID and password. The result declared will be final and any appeal for re-evaluation of the same will not be considered. The SET BBA result declares candidates sectional and overall scores based on which the candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT).

SET BBA Cut off 2018

The SET BBA cut off is the minimum marks that each candidate must obtain to get shortlisted for the counselling rounds. After the announcement of SET BBA 2018 result, the affiliated management institutes SCMS Pune and Noida will release their individual cut off scores. The SET BBA 2018 cut off score will be different for different institutes and category of candidates.

SET BBA Counselling 2018

After the announcement of result, the scores obtained by candidates will be sent to SCMS Noida and Pune. Candidates obtaining the required cut off scores will be shortlisted for further admission rounds. The institutes will announce the list of shortlisted candidates as well as the waiting list. The shortlisted candidates will be called for PI-WAT. Based on candidates score in SET and performance in PI-WAT, a final merit list will be prepared. Candidates whose names are in the merit list are required to visit the allotted campus and complete the admission process.

SET BBA Participating Institutes 2018

The participating institutes of SET BBA 2018 are those institutes which accept scores of SET BBA exam for admissions to their undergraduate BBA programme. The SET BBA scores will be accepted by 2 management schools, which are SCMS Pune and SCMS Noida. These two institutes offer around 450 BBA seats in total. While applying for the exam, candidates are required to apply separately for these institutes.
