ATMA 2017 – Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) has announced the result of AIMS Test for Management Admission (ATMA) August 2017 exam. The candidates can check their ATMA result cum scorecard by entering their PID and password. ATMA August 2017 was held on August 6 in online mode. The test comprised of 180 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). These questions were distributed among 6 sections. The total duration of the test was 180 minutes. The scores of the ATMA 2017 August exam will be accepted by 115 B-Schools across the country. On the basis of ATMA 2017 August result, the candidates will be shortlisted for post graduate management programmes offered by the participating institutes. This year, AIMS conducted ATMA 5 times i.e. in the month of February, May, June, July and August for admission to the MBA, PGDM, and other management programmes of the participating colleges. Before applying for ATMA 2017, all the candidates must go through the eligibility norms and should apply only after ensuring that they meet the same. The eligibility criteria are as follow –
- Candidate should be a graduate in any discipline or should have passed any equivalent exam from a recognised University or Institute.
- The candidate still pursuing the final year of his/her Bachelor Degree can also apply.
- No age restriction is there.
To apply online, first, the applicants are required to pay the requisite fee to obtain the Personal Identification Number (PID). Only after successful payment of the application fee, the PID will be sent to the candidate’s registered email ID. Now, candidates can start filling the registration form by entering all the required information. Also, candidates are required to upload all the necessary documents according to the required specifications. After successfully submitting the completed application form, candidates will be able to print the filled in the form.
Also, candidates can visit the notified centres of AIMS. Here, candidates can pay the application fee while purchasing the ATMA Bulletins through cash or Demand Draft. On purchase, candidates will receive voucher code or application number. Through this code or number, the aspirants will be able to apply for the test.
Registration Fee for ATMA 2017
The candidates opting for the online mode to apply are required to pay the requisite fee online only, either through NEFT or Net Banking. The candidates opting for the offline mode will have to pay the application fee via cash or DD. The ATMA Application Fee is non-refundable in nature and candidates must make sure that they pay the application fees within the prescribed time duration. The Application Fee amount is as follow –

The applicants are advised to check the syllabus for ATMA 2017, to be familiar with the various topics and sub-topics of the test. Also, with the help of the syllabus, the candidates won’t be wasting time preparing for unnecessary topics. There is no definite syllabus for this test, however, the questions in the test will be based on 3 topics, which are Analytical Reasoning Skills, Verbal Skills and Quantitative Skills.
While applying for ATMA, candidates can select up to 2 cities according to their preference. The address of the test centre will be mentioned on the admit card of the test. While selecting the test city, candidates must make sure that choose the cities according to their convenience. A total of 180 questions will be asked in ATMA 2017 and all these will be based on MCQ format. There will be 6 sections in the paper, comprising of 30 questions each. The table below gives a clear idea about these 6 sections. The duration of ATMA-AIMS 2017 is 180 minutes, i.e. 03 hours.

Each question will have 4 options and the candidate will be required to mark one correct answer out of these 4 options. Every correct answer given by the candidate will fetch him/her 1 mark each whereas 1/3rd mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
The admit card is an important document that must be carried to the examination centre by every candidate for appearing in the ATMA 2017. Without a valid admit card, the candidates will not be allowed to sit for the exam. The ATMA admit card is issued only to those candidates, whose applications have been received on time by AIMS. The candidates are also required to paste their recent passport size photograph on the downloaded admit card to be carried to the allocated test centre.
- The admit card will be made available to the candidates through post or email.
- Also, no entry will be allowed into the test centre without furnishing the valid ATMA 2017 Admit Card.
The result will be declared online and candidates can access it from this page. To download the scorecard, the candidates need to click the result link and enter their PID and password. It must be noted that the examination authority doesn’t send any hard of the ATMA score card 2017 via post or courier.
With the announcement of the result, the various participating institutes will be releasing their cutoff marks. To be eligible for the pre-admission processes, the candidates must score equal to or more than the cutoff marks. However, the candidates must note that the cutoff marks will vary from institute to institute. It is expected that the cutoff marks will remain similar to that of last year.
More than 100 Management Institutes will be accepting the ATMA score for this session.After the announcement of the result, these participating institutes will be announcing their cutoff scores. Each Institute will have their own cutoff scores, sectional scores, aggregate scores, etc. on which the candidates will be shortlisted for the pre-admission rounds. The exam is conducted 4 times in a year by Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) for the intake of the candidates into participating institutes. For appearing in ATMA 2017 exam, the candidates do not require any specific prior knowledge of business or other subject areas nor does ATMA seeks to measure achievement in any particular subject area. The test has been designed to evaluate the candidate’s aptitude for higher management education.
