Candidates can download the CAT admit card in online mode only. It should be noted that CAT admit card will not be mailed or sent to the candidates. The step-wise procedure on how to download CAT 2017 admit card is explained below.

The admit card of CAT 2017 cannot be downloaded under any of the following conditions. Candidates should make sure all these are taken into consideration before downloading CAT admit card 2017.
After downloading CAT admit card candidates are advised to cross-check all the details mentioned on it. If there is any discrepancy in CAT admit card 2017 candidates are advised to contact the examination authority immediately for necessary rectification. CAT 2017 admit card includes some important examination instructions for candidates. Some of the examination instructions which will be printed on CAT admit card 2017 are given below.
Print CAT 2017 admit card on an A4 size paper using a laser printer. Admit Card is valid only if the candidate's photograph and signature images are legibly printed. Paste the photograph uploaded while registering for CAT 2017 at the indicated place. The CAT 2017 admit card is to be produced for verification at the time of the test. Candidates should also produce at least one original (not photocopied or scanned) valid (not expired) photo identification card (such as College ID, Employer ID, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, Identification Affidavit)
The candidate's photograph and signature should be legibly printed and visible on the photo ID card and should match the name on CAT 2017 admit card. The Photo ID card should not be damaged or smudged
Candidates should report at 7:30 a.m. for the forenoon session and at 1:00 p.m. for the afternoon session
No candidate will be allowed inside the test centre after 8:45 am for the forenoon session and post 2:15 pm for the afternoon session. PwD candidates will get priority entry into the test centre
Candidates are advised to locate their test centre and its accessibility at least a day before the test so that they can reach the centre on time on the day of the test
Only Admit Card & Photo ID Card will be allowed inside the test hall. Nothing else will be permitted
Rough pad and pen will be provided to the candidates for rough work, which will have to be returned after the test. Candidates should clearly write their name and registration number on the rough pad
Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, watches, calculators, stationary items, papers, wallets, goggles or similar such things will not be allowed inside the test hall
Do not wear any jewellery or other items containing metal. Candidates will be asked to remove their footwear before entering the test hall
There is no facility for safekeeping of your personal belongings outside the test hall and we are not responsible for its loss
Candidates attempting to appear for CAT 2017 more than once will be disqualified from the exam
Candidates need to make their own travel and stay arrangements for attending the test
The admit card is provisional, subject to the condition that the candidate has fulfilled the eligibility conditions like academic qualification, category, PwD status etc. as mentioned in his/her application which is subject to verification in the consecutive stages of the selection process

The Test System Number is provided only for the limited purpose of identifying the floor/wing and the computer at the test venue on the day of the test, for any correspondence with CAT Centre you must provide your CAT 20017 Registration Number
Here are a few of the most commonly asked questions and answers on CAT admit card -
Question: Can I carry a photocopy of photo identification card?
Answer: No. The candidates must carry any of the above-mentioned photo ID proof in original. A photocopy or scanned copy will not be accepted at the examination centre.
Question: What is Test System Number mentioned on the Admit Card of CAT?
Answer: The purpose of Test System Number, which is mentioned on the admit card, is just to help the candidate identify the floor and computer at the examination centre. It shouldn’t be confused with the registration number. The candidates should only use the Registration Number for communication with CAT centre.
Question: Can I change the examination centre?
Answer: No. The test centre for the exam should be chosen with the utmost care during the application process. The candidates can appear for the exam only at the exam centre mentioned on the CAT admit card 2017. The request to change the examination centre will not be accepted under any circumstance.
Question: Can I avail the services of a Scribe?
Answer: Candidates who are availing the services of a scribe must make sure that the scribe affidavit is submitted by the scribe. Also, the scribe should carry a photo identification card to the examination centre.
As per CAT exam pattern, the computer-based test will be held for a duration of three hours duration covering 100 questions from three sections - VARC, DI & LR and QA. Among the total questions, some are multiple choice questions while others are the non-multiple choice.
