CAT Previous Year Question Paper: CAT, which is the most popular management entrance exam among all the MBA aspirants, will be conducted by IIM Lucknow on November 26, 2017. Since the CAT application form process has already commenced, all the MBA aspirants are thus advised to practice the CAT Previous Year Question Papers. The Previous Year Question Paper of CAT helps one to assess his/her strengths and weaknesses. In order to make their preparations in line with the changes in the test pattern, the aspirants need to go through the CAT Papers for 3 or 4 years. This will help them to be fully conversant with the exam pattern of all the three sections of the online test, viz. As mentioned above, the test will be held in a computer-based mode and the total marks of the test is 300. There will be a total of 100 questions and candidates will be provided 180 minutes to complete the test. For each section, a total of 60 minutes will be provided and candidates cannot move from one section to the other without completing the time. The questions will be divided into 3 sections, which are
- Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC),
- Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and
- Quantitative Ability (QA).
In Quantitative Ability questions are based on topics such as algebra, number system, permutation and combination. Aspirants should make sure that these topics are covered thoroughly. Practicing these topics will help candidates to boost their confidence. Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VARC) section covers majority of questions from para-jumbles and reading comprehension. Data Interpretation and logical reasoning comprises questions on Bar Graph, Data sufficiency, Pie chart, tables, assumptions, blood relation, seating arrangements, syllogism etc.

Why are CAT mock tests important?
CAT mock test will be released by IIM Lucknow in October. Candidates appearing for CAT should appear for mock tests to get a hang of the type of questions asked. It is always wise to attempt mock tests and get a right frame for attempting the paper on the D-day. Aspirants are advised to take at least 3 to 4 mock tests in a week.
