The CAT notification 2017 is expected to be announced on July 30. With the release of the notification, CAT aspirants can expect the CAT application process to start within 5 – 7 days. The CAT application form will be available in online mode only. Before filling the CAT application form, candidates must make sure they have all the required documents. To apply for the test, candidates are first required to get themselves registered for the test to obtain the login credentials. After obtaining the login ID and password, applicants will be able to fill the application form. Last year, 232,434 MBA aspirants applied for the test around 1,95,000 appeared for the test. This year, IIM Lucknow will be conducting the Common Admission Test 2017. The convener of CAT 2017 is Professor Neeraj Dwivedi.
The registration process of CAT will be online. While filling the details in the application form, applicants are advised to avoid making errors. Any discrepancy in the application details will lead to cancellation of the candidature. Also, candidates are advised to check the eligibility norms of the test. Each applicant must make sure that they fulfil all the CAT eligibility criteria before they apply.

There is a time limit to complete the application process, which is 30 minutes (approx.). After completion of the time period, the session will expire and candidates are required to log in again to complete the process. Applicants must make sure to submit the application form in order to appear for CAT 2017 exam.

To start with the CAT application process, candidates must make sure they have the following documents and information ready -
The scanned images of the candidate’s photograph and signature must be according to the prescribed format. If the images fail to meet the requirements, then the candidates won’t be able to upload them in the CAT application form. The required image specification are as follows -

Note: For the scanned image of a photograph, the minimum resolution must be 150 px/inch and it must not be older than 6 months. The background of the photograph must be white.
The application fee for Common Admission Test can be paid via online mode only. To pay the application fee, candidates can opt for Debit/ Credit card or Net Banking. The CAT application fee is non-refundable. It is expected that the CAT 2017 application fee for General Candidates will be Rs. 1700/- while for the SC/ST/PwD applicants the fee will be Rs. 850/-
