CAT Scorecard 2017CAT Scorecard 2017 – The scorecard of CAT will be released along with the result in the second week of January 2018. CAT scorecard will be available online only. To download CAT 2017 scorecard candidates have to enter user ID and password. The scorecard will have sectional and overall scaled scores and percentile.CAT 2017 scores will be valid for the academic year 2018. On the basis of CAT 2017 score candidates will be called for further rounds of selection procedure of 20 IIMs and more than 100 CAT accepting business schools for offering admission to Post Graduate Management (PGP) programmes and MBA/PGDM programmes.CAT 2017 is scheduled to be conducted on November 26, 2017 by IIM Lucknow. Steps to download CAT scorecard 2017

CAT scorecard will be available online and no hard copy of the same will be sent to candidates by post. Candidates have to download CAT scorecard within specified dates. The steps to download CAT scorecard is explained below in details.

Step 3: Submitting details CAT scorecard will appear on the screen

CAT scorecard 2017: Definitions of terms

Percentile: This refers to the percentage of candidates who receive scoreless than or equal to the score obtained by the candidate.

Overall scaled scores: This is the sum of the scaled scores of the candidates in the different component.

How CAT 2017 scores will be calculated?

CAT 2017 will be conducted in two sessions, therefore, the scores of candidates will be normalized to adjust the difficulty level of exam. The scaled scores obtained by this process will be converted into percentiles to shortlist candidates. In CAT scorecard, scaled scores of each section- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA) and overall scaled scores along with percentiles will be mentioned. As per CAT marking scheme, for each correct answer candidates will score 3 marks and for the incorrect answer, candidates will get -1 marks.

What is the purpose of CAT score?

CAT scores will be used by 20 IIMs and over 100 b-schools to offer admission to their PGP, MBA, PGDM programmes. Candidates will be called for GE, PI and WAT based on candidate’s CAT score.

About CAT 2017

Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017 will be conducted for admission to the 20 IIMs and other top-rated business schools. CAT 2017 contains 100 questions (both MCQs and non-MCQs) and the duration of the test is 3 hours. The questions are divided into 3 sections, which are Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning. The total marks of the exam are 300.
