CMAT Cutoff 2018 – The cutoff of CMAT is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates have to score to qualify the exam and become eligible for next round of selection procedure. What is CMAT cutoff 2018?
CMAT cutoff is the minimum marks decided by the participating institutes to call candidates for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates securing equal to or more than the cutoff will be shortlisted for next round of selection procedure. CMAT cutoff might be in the form or percentage or percentile.

Factors affecting CMAT cutoff 2018
CMAT cutoff will depend on the following factors.
- Exam’s difficulty level
- Availability of seats
- Number of candidates appearing for the exam
CMAT 2018 Merit list
CMAT merit list will be prepared based on the scores obtained by candidates in the exam. The merit list will contain the rank, overall and sectional scores and percentile. Based on a candidate’s rank in the merit list as well as CMAT cutoff, they will be called for GD and PI. The percentile will be calculated using the formula.
Percentile P = ( (N- Rank of the candidate)/ N) x 100
Note: P is the percentile and N is the total number of candidates appeared for the exam.
How the scores will be calculated in CMAT 2018?
CMAT scores will be calculated through the following method.
- Candidates for correct answer will score + 4 marks
- -1 mark deducted for wrong answer
- No marks will be awarded for questions left unattempted.
CMAT result 2018
CMAT result will be announced online and will be available in the form of merit list. CMAT result 2018 will have roll number, name, score, rank and percentile of all the candidates. CMAT scorecard will be released after the declaration of result. On the basis of a candidate’s performance in GE, PI or WAT as well as CMAT scores will be offered admission to various management programmes in institutes and universities approved by AICTE. CMAT scores will be valid for the academic year 2018-19.

CMAT scores will be accepted for admission to over 1000 management institutes affiliated under AICTE. On the basis of CMAT cutoff, candidates will be selected to these participating institutes.
