FMS Delhi Announces Final Selection List – On 18 April 2016, the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi declared the final admission list for MBA 2016 batch. The final Personal Interview round was held on the morning of 18 April while the final result was released on the evening of the same day. In the Final Selection List, a total of 216 candidates is selected covering all categories with a waiting list of 487 candidates according to merit.

These selected candidates are required to be present at the FMS Office for admission. The admission process will commence from 2 till 16 May 2016 between 10 AM to 4 PM. They are required to submit a fee of Rs. 11,000/- (approximately). Along with the fee, the candidates are required to submit 4 stamp-size photographs with the name of the candidate written in block letters on the back of a small envelope with the candidate’s name on it.

Important Documents

The following are the important documents required at the time of the admission –

  1. Original certificates supporting the age and eligibility of the candidate.
  2. Original certificate supporting their Reservation (only for reserved candidates).

A total of 2157 candidates were selected for extempore and PI round out of which only 216 candidates were selected. The PI rounds commenced from 12 to 18 April 2016.  If compared to other top rated Management Institutions, the FMS Delhi released the final result in less than 10 hours, while most Institutes would take a minimum of 1 month time. It is one of the traditions of FMS to declare the final result on the last day of PI round.

The Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi changed their shortlisting criteria for final admission. From the session 2016, FMS gave weightage to sectional scores for shortlisting candidates for extempore and PI.

The FMS, Delhi is one of the top-rated Business Schools in the nation and it does not exercise any state level reservation criteria. FMS is famous for its 100% placement legacy and high salary packages and low fee structure. According to the placement report 2016, the highest domestic salary was Rs. 66 Lakhs and International Salary was equal to 1.05 crores.
