IBSAT 2017 – ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test (IBSAT) is a management entrance exam for admission to MBA/ PGPM programmes offered by ICFAI Business School (IBS). The application form of IBSAT has been released on July 1, 2017. IBSAT 2017 exam is scheduled to be conducted in a four-day long window from December 21 – 24, 2017. The candidates who wish to appear for the IBSAt exam must fill the application form before December 12, 2017. On the basis of IBSAT scores, the candidates are selected for 9 IBS campuses which are located in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Pune, Dehradun and Jaipur. It is a computer-based test of 120 minutes duration. There are certain eligibility conditions that the candidates must fulfil to appear for the exam. The candidates who fail to meet the eligibility criteria will be disqualified from the admission process.
- For MBA and PGPM programmes, the candidates must have completed graduation with minimum 50% marks.
- The students who are in the final year of their graduation are also eligible to apply.
- The candidates must have completed a minimum of 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
- The candidates must have studied in English medium. It is mandatory for the candidates who have not studied in the English medium to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score.
The candidates can download and fill the application form online. Upon successful payment of application fee, the candidates will receive a confirmation mail that will provide the details of application number and password. IBSAT bulletin will be dispatched to the candidates within a week. The offline applicants can buy the application voucher containing the application form from any of the marketing branches of IBSAT. Along with the application voucher, the candidates will also get a scratch card containing application number and password. The application number and password can be used to fill the application form online. There are certain guidelines that the candidates must carefully read and adhere to while filling up the application form.
The questions in the exam are asked from a wide range of topics. In the Quantitative Aptitude, the questions are mainly based on percentages, geometry, ratios & proportion, time, speed & distance, averages etc. In Verbal Ability section, the questions are based on sentence correction, idioms, one word substitution, analogies etc. In Data Interpretation section, the questions are based on puzzles, linear arrangements, cause and effect, bar graphs etc. The candidates must focus on all the topics while preparing of the exam.
IBSAT is a computer-based test of two hours duration. It comprises of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). In every question, the candidates need to select the correct option from different options available. It comprises of four sections, namely Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, Reading Comprehension and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation. The questions are asked from a wide variety of topics. The basic objective of the exam is to test the students on quantitative ability, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.

The admit card for IBSAT 2017 will be issued to the candidates who successfully register for the exam before December 12, 2017. The admit card contains several important details including the candidate’s name, venue details, time of exam etc. The admit card will be released online and the candidates must download and print it. It is mandatory for the candidates to carry the admit card to the examination centre, failing which, the candidates will be debarred from taking the exam. As soon as the IBSAT admit card 2017 is released, a link will be made available here to access the same.
IBS will announce the result of IBSAT 2017 exam on January 2, 2018. The result will be announced online and the candidates will have to submit their registration number and password to check the result. It must be noted that IBS doesn’t release the percentile scores or score-cards of the the candidates. Only the list of shortlisted candidates is announced. The candidates who are shortlisted will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
After the release of the result, the various campuses of IBS will announce their cutoff scores. It is mandatory for the candidates to score the minimum cutoff marks to be eligible for the pre-admission procedures. IBSAT Cutoff 2017 may differ from campus to campus. The cutoff for IBSAT 2017 is expected to be similar to that of last years.
With the result of IBSAT exam, IBS releases the list of shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted candidates are invited for pre-admission rounds.
- The candidates are selected for pre-admission process on the basis of the marks obtained in IBSAT 2017 exam. IBS also considers the scores of CAT, GMAT and NMAT.
- The candidates with a minimum score of 60% in CAT/NMAT by GMAC or having a score of 500 in GMAT will be shortlisted for the selection rounds.
- Those selected will be eligible to participate in the GD and PI rounds of IBS.
- The final list will be based on the candidate’s overall score i.e. IBSAT or any national test score and GD & PI score.
