IIFT Application Form 2018: The application form of IIFT 2018 has been released on July 25. Candidates who wish to pursue MBA (International Business) from any of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade located at Delhi or Kolkata have to fill IIFT application form 2018. Moreover, if UGC approves, IIFT will start a new campus in Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh) and it is expected to start functioning soon. The application form of IIFT 2018 can be filled in online mode only and candidates have to send the filled in applications to the examination authority along with relevant documents with in the specified dates. The last date to fill IIFT application form has been extended from September 8 to September 15, 2017, for Indian nationals. While Foreign Nationals and NRI candidates can apply for IIFT 2018 till February 15, 2018. Only General category candidates who pay the fee through Credit / Debit Card are not required to send the printout of the online application form. However, candidates who pay the fee using demand draft have to send the application form. IIFT is a national level exam taken by nearly 50000 candidates for admission to a total of 360 seats in MBA in International Business. IIFT 2018 is scheduled to be held in pen and paper based mode on December 3, 2017. Earlier, the exam date clashed with CAT 2017, which will be held on November 26.

Before applying IIFT 2018 candidates must have following documents ready:
Required Web browser: Candidates must use the following web browser to fill the application form to avoid any sorts of a technical glitch.

Valid E- Mail ID: Candidates must have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the completion of the admission process. All the information and instructions related will be communicated through the registered email ID. IIFT 2018 admit card will be sent on the registered ID. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, they should create a new e-mail ID before applying on-line.
Photograph & Signature: Candidates must scan their photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph and signature adhere to the required specifications. Signature in capital letters will not be accepted.
Details/Documents ready to make Online Payment: Candidates must keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges. Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/ intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidates.
IIFT 2018 Application Fee and Mode of Payment: The candidates applying under the General category are required to pay an amount of Rs. 1550. For the SC/ST/PWD candidates, the application fee is Rs. 775. The Foreign National/NRI candidates are required to pay USD 80.
The IIFT application fee can be paid via online as well as offline mode. To pay the fee via online mode, candidates can either make the payment via Credit or Debit card. For the offline mode, candidates are required to draw a Demand Draft in favour of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, payable at New Delhi.
How to Fill IIFT application form 2018
The IIFT application form process is in online mode only while to make the payment, candidates can opt for the online as well as offline mode. The candidates who have made the payment via Demand Draft are required to send the DD along with the printout of the application form to the address of the IIFT conducting body. Also, the reserved category and Foreign National/NRI candidates are required to send the application form along with requisite documents to the exam conducting body.
Step 1: Registration
Personal Information: Candidate’s Name, Father’s Name and Mother’s Name.
Category, Gender and Date of Birth: Here, candidates are required to select their category, gender and enter their Date of Birth.
Corresponding Address: Applicants must enter their mailing address for communication purposes.
Creation and Verification of Password: To complete the registration process, candidates are required to enter a password and verify the same.
Security Code: Here, the candidates are required to enter the provided security code.
Step 2: Login to fill Centre Details and Academic Details
On successful registration, a confirmation email will be sent to the registered address of the candidates providing the IIFT application number and password. With the provided application number and password, candidates are required to log in and continue with the application process.
Centre for Written Test: Select the written examination centre from the provided list.
Centre for Group Discussion and Personal Interview: Select the GD and PI centre from the provided list.
Campus Preference: According to the applicant’s preference, they are advised to add the campus preference from the list provided.
Educational Qualification: In this area, the candidates are required to enter their last degree (passed or appearing), year of passing, marks or CGPA obtained, maximum marks, percentage, name and location of the University, and work experience.
Step 3: Uploading of images in IIFT 2018 application form
Candidates must make sure that the scanned passport size must be recent. The size of the scanned photograph and signature must not exceed 50KB per file.
Signature: The background of the signature must be done on a white paper with a black pen. Signature in block letters will be rejected. The scanner resolution must be set to 200 dpi (dots per inch).
Photograph: The photo must be recent and in digital format. The background should be light or white background. Applicants must make sure that the face is clear on the photograph to avoid rejection.
Once the scanned image of the candidate’s signature and the photograph is uploaded successfully, the system will generate a Confirmation page where the pre printed photograph and signature of the candidate.
Step 4: Payment of Application Fee: The IIFT application form fee can be paid via online as well as offline mode.
Online mode: To pay the IIFT application fee, candidates can opt for Credit Card or Debit Card.
Offline mode: In order to pay the application fee via offline mode, candidates are required to draw a Demand Draft in favour of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, payable at New Delhi.

Step 5: IIFT 2018 application review and take a print out of confirmation page: On successful payment of the application fee, the candidates will receive a confirmation email and message. After completion of the application process, candidates are required to review their form and print the same.
Step 6: Sending IIFT 2018 application to examination authority: The candidates who have paid the application fee via Demand Draft are required to send the hard copy of the application form along with the DD to the exam authority. Also, the applicants who have applied under a reserved category are required to send their application form, documents supporting their reservation and Demand Draft (if the application fee is being paid via offline mode), to the address of the conducting body.

IIFT 2018 application procedure as per category
For General Category Candidates – If the candidates are paying the application fee via Debit or Credit card, then they are not required to send the hard copy of the application form to the exam authority. However, if the applicants have paid the fee via Demand Draft, they are required to send the print out of the application form along with the DD to the above-mentioned address within 10 days from the date of online registration.
Note: Here, candidates are required to write the name and application number on the back side of the DD.
For Reserved Category Candidates – The candidates applying under the available reserved category are required to send the hard copy of the completed application form, self-attested copy of SC/ST/PWD and OBC (non-creamy layer) certificate to the exam conducting body via Post, Speed Post or Courier. Also, the candidates paying the application fee via Demand Draft are required to send the DD along with the reservation certificate to IIFT.
Note: On the back side of the DD, the candidates are required to write the name, address and application number.
For Foreign National or NRIs – Admission of the candidates under the Foreign National or NRI category will be on the basis of GMAT score and Interview. The candidates applying for IIFT 2018 are required to send the following documents along with the application form to the address of the examination authority –
- Filled in CV Form
- GMAT score certificate (copy)
- All academic mark-sheets/certificate (attested copies of Class X, XII & Graduation)
- Copy of all Passport pages having official entries
- Also an undertaking that applicants have not appeared for any MBA entrance exam for that year
- Two recommendation letters, one written by a current supervisor or manager (preferred) and the other by someone who is in a position to evaluate the applicant’s professional performance as well as his / her managerial and leadership potential. It must be noted that the recommendation letter written by immediate family members will be rejected
- The applicants who are Indian nationals and are living, working, studying abroad must produce a certificate from the Indian Embassy / High Commission /Consulate of the country where he/she is currently residing, along with the application form. The certificate must state that the applicant is a resident of that country for more than or equal to 18 months as on December 31, 2017
- DD of the requisite amount. Also, they must write their name, address and application number on the back side of the DD
