JEMAT 2016 – The counselling schedule along with the rank list for JEMAT Phase – II has been released by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University, West Bengal. Total 226 candidates will be participating in the JEMAT counselling 2016 on October 1, 2016. The candidates can access the rank list and the counselling schedule on this page below. The JEMAT Phase – I qualified candidates can also appear for the counselling in case they haven’t attended it before. However, they can participate in the afternoon session only. The final result is expected to be declared on September 30, 2016. The Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT II) 2016 was held on September 25, 2016. To apply for the entrance test of, the candidates must make sure that they are eligible. If the candidates fail to meet the eligibility criteria, then their candidature will be cancelled. The minimum qualification of WBUT JEMAT is a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce / Engineering / Technology / Medical / Dental / Agriculture or any other professional degree from a recognized degree. The candidates who are appearing in their final year of their qualifying exam can also apply.
Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test 2016 Application Form was available online. The candidates must fill in the application form to be eligible for the entrance test held on 24 July 2016. Follow the steps provided below for the application procedure –
- Draw a DD of Rs. 600/- (Reserved Category: Rs. 300/-) in favour of MAKAUTWB-JEMAT payable at Kolkata.
- Click on the link provided above to access the Application Form.
- Fill in the required details in the Application Form.
- Upload images of the candidate’s photograph and signature.
- On successful registration, the candidates will receive a confirmation message via SMS or email.
The admit card is available online and a link is provided in the article for a hassle free access to the Admit Card. The admit card is an important document and the candidates must produce it in the exam venue for entry into the exam hall. If the candidates fail to do so, then they will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. The admit card will contain various details such as name of the candidate, venue, date and time of the exam, etc.
The entrance test for Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test was held in pen-paper mode and the question paper will contain a total of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The total duration of the exam is 120 minutes. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The questions will be distributed into three sections, which are General English, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning.
The final result will be declared on September 30, 2016. However, on September 26, 2016, the shortlist has been released. This list provides names of 238 candidates who have been shortlisted on the basis on their JEMAT Phase – II score to appear for GD/PI. The final result will be published on this page with its declaration. The candidates can check the same by providing their roll number and password. The score of JEMAT will remain valid for a year only. The candidates must note that the University will not be sending any scorecard via email or post.
After the declaration of the final result of the JEMAT Phase – II exam, all the participating Institutes will be releasing their cutoff ranks. The candidates can check the cutoffs by clicking on the caption-head here. The cutoff will be decided upon after taking into consideration various factors. It is important for the candidates to obtain a rank equal to more than the decided cutoff rank. The JEMAT cutoff will be furnished for every category of students.
The counselling processes for JEMAT 2016 phase – II will commence from October 1, 2016. The candidates who will get equal to more that the decided cutoff marks will be eligible to attend the counselling process. The selection criterion differs for all the Management Institutes. Some accept CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT or JEMAT 2016 score for granting admission. When selected for the counselling, the candidates are required to bring in requisite document (in original & photocopy) for verification and submission.
