Maharashtra Common Entrance Test MBA

MAH CET MBAMAH CET MBA 2018:  The Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra has declared the result of MAH CET MBA on March 19. MAH CET MBA 2018 was conducted online on March 10 and 11. Total 106448 candidates had registered for the exam, out of whoch 98606 candidates had appeared for the exam. Total 93648 candidates have qualified the exam. MAH CET MBA Counselling will be conducted in May, 2018. On the basis of candidate’s rank in the merit list, they are called for counselling. The Maharastra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET) was conducted for admission to MBA/MMS 40,000 seats offered by over 400 management institutes in Maharashtra. The entrance test was held in multiple sessions across Maharastra and outside the state as well.  MAH CET MBA comprised objective type multiple choice questions based on Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Verbal Ability/ Reading Comprehension and Quantitative Aptitude. MAH CET MBA Eligibility Criteria 2018

The eligibility criteria have been prescribed by the exam conducting body. It provides details regarding nationality, domicle, academic qualification. Candidates applying for MAH CET MBA must have Bachelors degree in any discipline with 50% while it is 45% for backward class categories and PwD candidates belonging to Maharashtra only. MAH CET MBA Application Form 2018

Candidates have to apply online for MAH CET MBA. The application form can be filled in four parts - registration, filling the application form, uploading photograph and signature and payment of examination fee. Application fee is Rs 1,000 for general category candidates belonging to Maharashtra, outside of Maharastra and Jammu and Kashmir while that for backward class category and PwD candidates it is Rs 800. Fee can be paid online through electronic payment gateway. Candidates can edit the details entered in MAH CET MBA application form within the application dates.

MAH CET MBA Exam Centres 2018

MAH CET MBA 2018 was conducted in 36 cities in Maharashtra and 13 outside the state. Candidates have to exercise their preferences of exam centres while filling the application form. However, the examination authority reserves the right to allot exam centres. Request for change of MAH CET MBA exam centres will not be accepted after final submission of application.

MAH CET MBA Admit Card 2018

Admit card was issued to candidates from February 26. Candidates have to download the admit card online. To download MAH CET MBA 2018 admit card candidates have to enter their registration number/roll number and password/date of birth. The admit card will mention date, time, city, address of test venue and candidate’s detail among others. After downloading the admit card candidates have to affix photograph at the designated space. The printout of admit card along with photo-identify proof should be carried to the examination centre.

MAH CET MBA Exam Pattern 2018

MAH CET MBA exam pattern gives details about the overall structure of exam. MAH CET exam online test comprises 200 objective type questions from Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Verbal Ability/Reading Comprehension and Quantitative Aptitude. The marks allotted for the exam is 200 and duration of the test is 150 minutes. The distribution of questions and marks varies as per sections. The test carries no negative marks. MAH CET MBA Syllabus 2018

MAH CET MBA syllabus has been defined by the DTE. The syllabus contains the topics from Logical/Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. Questions in the exam are based on the topics given in MAH CET syllabus. Logical/Abstract Reasoning questions are based on figures and diagrams. These questions test candidate’s ability to think quickly and accurately. Quantitative Aptitude includes topics such as ratio and proportion, percentage, interpretation of tables, common graphs and charts etc. In Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension candidates should prepare grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of passages.

MAH CET MBA Previous Year Question Papers

MAH CET MBA result 2018

MAH CET MBA result was released online on March 19. To check the result, candidates need to enter their registration number and date of birth. Along with the MAH CET MBA result, the score and percentile of candidates has been released in a PDF. Based on the result candidates was called for counselling. The exam conducting authority has released the merit list after submission of application for admission. First the priovisional merit list will be declared followed by the final merit list. To check MAH CET merit list candidates have to enter application id and date of birth. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of basis of CET score. The corrected score was calculated based on the number of correct answers. The scores so obtained was equated to adjust the difficulty level as the test was held in different sessions.

MAH CET MBA Cutoff 2018

MAH CET MBA cutoff is released after every CAP rounds. Each participating institutes releases its own cutoff as per category. Based on MAH CET  cutoff candidates will be allotted seats in the participating institutes. Cutoff is decided by the participating institutes depending upon the difficulty level, availability of seats, number of appeared candidates. MAH CET MBA Counselling 2018

MAH CET MBA counselling will start from May. The counselling will be held online. The Maharashtra CAP 2017 will have several stages such filling of application form, document verification, display of seats, filling of options, allotment of seats and reporting to colleges for confirming the seat allotment. Last year, MAH CET MBA counselling was held in four rounds. Before accepting the allotted seat during counselling candidates have the option to Freeze, Slide or Float. Seats will be allotted to candidates in the management institutes based on the choice of courses and colleges, availablity of seats, reservation criteria and cutoff. 

MAH CET MBA Seat Allotment 2018

MAH CET MBA seat allotment will be carried out online as per candidates merit, preferences during choice filling and availability of seats in various colleges. The exam conducting authority will release the provisional allotment after every round of counselling. Candidates can check the provisional allotment status by entering their application number and date of birth. During allotment of seats at any stage candidate have the option to upward shift with reference to options filled by them according to the availablility of seats. Candidates allotted seat can download the provisional seat allotment letter. At the time of accepting seats candidates have to pay fee through demand draft at the admission reporting centre. Seats will be allotted after verification of original documents. Candidates rejecting their seats will be considered for admission in subsequent rounds.
