Management Aptitude Test (MAT) 2017 has been successfully conducted on May 7, 2017, in 59 cities across India. The exam was held in pen and paper mode in a single shift from 10:00 am to 12.30 pm. A large number of MBA aspirants took the test in different parts of India. The computer based test will be conducted on May 13, 2017. MAT exam is conducted four times a year. The result of MAT exam is accepted by several management institutes across the country.
MAT 2017 Exam Analysis
MAT 2017 May exam comprised of 5 sections, namely- Language Comprehension, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency and Indian & Global Environment. Each section had 40 questions. Most students described the difficulty level of the exam as ‘moderate’. In Intelligence & Critical Reasoning section, the questions were divided into – verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. In Mathematical Skills, some of the students found questions based on Venn Diagram and Mensuration difficult.
The result of MAT 2017 exam will be announced in the last week of May. On the basis of MAT scores, the candidates can seek admission in several management institutes across the country. Some of the MAT participating institutes include Amity University, Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, KIIT University, Apeejay Institute of Management, Doon Business School, Guru Nanak Institute of Management, NIILM Centre for Management Studies, Christ University etc. The candidates are advised to check with individual institutes where they wish to apply. In the past, there have been a couple of cases of where MAT result was not accepted by participating institutes.
Only the candidates who opted for offline mode appeared for the test on May 7. The computer based MAT exam will be held on May 13. While the May 7 exam has been conducted in one-time slot, the computer based test will be held in multiple time slots.
