Candidates can check MAT result 2017 as well as scorecard by entering roll and form number and month of the test. MAT scorecard displays the composite, and sectional score, percentile as well as exam and candidates’ details. MAT score is valid for one year only. On the basis of MAT September score 138 business schools will offer admission to various management courses. MAT cutoff will be declared by MAT participating institutes. The cutoff score of MAT range in between 200 to 700. MAT 2017 was conducted on September 3 and 9 respectively. The hard copy of MAT 2017 scorecard will also be sent to candidates by post. To check the MAT result 2017 for September session, test takers can follow the steps provided below

Steps to check MAT result 2017

  • Step 1: Enter MAT September roll number – Enter the roll number of the examination printed on the admit card
  • Step 2: Enter form number – Now, enter the application form number which is also available on the admit card
  • Step 3: Select month of test – From the drop down menu, select the exam month.
  • Step 4: Download – On accessing the MAT result 2017, applicants must download the scorecard and keep a copy of it. The MAT scorecard must be kept safe until the conclusion of the admission rounds of the participating institutes of MAT.

How to check MAT result 2017 via SMS?

MAT result can also be checked through SMS. For this candidates are required to send their application form number and date of birth to 54242 and this service is applicable to all phone operators. To obtain the MAT scores through SMS, test takers are required to SMS as – MAT FORM NUMBER, Date Of Birth (dd/mm/yy) to 54242. For e.g. – If a candidate’s MAT form number is 200387 and his/her date of birth is February 12, 1990, then the SMS must be like – MATS 200387 120290

What is MAT Score Card 2017?

The scorecard contains the scores and percentile of all the sections like Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning and Indian and Global Environment. Also, the MAT scorecard 2017 provides the Composite score and percentile obtained by candidates.

Steps to obtain duplicate MAT Scorecard

If candidates have lost their MAT scorecard, and it is no longer available online, then these candidates can follow the steps to obtain a duplicate MAT score card –

  • Step 1: Write an application on a plain paper requesting for a duplicate MAT score card

  • Step 2: Photocopy of the MAT admit card lower half which was signed by the invigilator at the exam hall

  • Step 3: A self-addressed envelope of 24 cms x 12 cms (approx) in size along with a postage stamp of Rs. 40 affixed for sending via Speed Post. The address must be written in capital letters

  • Step 4: If candidates are requesting for a duplicate scorecard after 45 days of the declaration of the result, have to pay Rs 100 through demand draft drawn in favour of ‘All India Management Association’, payable at New Delhi

  • Step 5: Send these documents to –

How is MAT result prepared?

Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning scoreThe range of these scores are scaled from 0 to 100 and scores below 20 or above 80 are rare
Composite scoreThis score is prepared on the basis of the marks of first four sections. For all the sections, equal weightage is assigned. These scores range between 199 and 801. Scores such as below 200 or above 800 are uncommon. The scores below 200 and above 800 are reported as 199 and 801, respectively
Indian and Global Environment scoreA separate score is being reported for this particular section. The score ranges between 0 to 100 and again a score below 20 and above 80 are rare here

MAT result and its purposes

MAT is conducted 4 times in a year in February, May, September and December to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes offered by over 600 business schools. Any management institutes national and international consider MAT score for offering admission to candidates.

What is MAT cut off 2017?

After the announcement of MAT result 2017, the participating institutes will release their cutoff scores. Each of the institutes will have their own MAT 2017 cutoff scores and will vary from each other. Also, the MAT cut off scores will differ with the candidate’s category. The cutoff marks are the minimum marks that each candidate must obtain in the test to get shortlisted for the counselling rounds of the participating institutes. These MAT participating institutes will prepare cutoff scores on the basis of factors like the difficulty level of exam, number of seats available and number of test takers.
