MAT 2018: AIMA has announced the dates of Management Aptitude Test or MAT. The paper based test of MAT 2018 will be conducted on February 4 while the computer based test will be held on February 10. Online registration for MAT 2018 will start from December 20. The last date to apply for MAT 2018 is January 26, 2018. MAT is conducted four times a year - February, May, September and December. The objective type test of MAT comprises questions from Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning and Indian and Global Environment. The computer based test of MAT was conducted on December 16, 2017. MAT December result 2017 will be declared in the last week of December. MAT eligibility criteria have been prescribed by AIMA. According to MAT eligibility criteria, to be eligible for the exam candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50%. Final year graduation candidates can also apply for MAT 2018 provisionally.There is no age limit for applying to MAT 2018. However, no work experience is necessary to apply.
MAT application form will be available from December 20 to January 26, 2018. Candidates can apply online and offline for the exam. Applicants had to purchase MAT application form from study centres of AIMA or from AIMA, New Delhi on payment of Rs 1652. Fee was accepted both online and offline. MAT application fees for all categories is Rs 1652. Online MAT application form can be filled in five steps.

MAT December is expected to be held in 45 exam cities. While filling the application form of MAT, applicants can select MAT exam centres according to their preference. Candidates can choose two exam cities. Candidates are advised to choose exam cities which are nearby and convenient to travel. MAT exam centres will be allotted by the exam officials according to the preference of candidates. However, the exam conducting authority reserves the right to cancel or add exam centres.

MAT admit card will be released in January 2018. The admit card will be issued to candidates who will successfully apply for the exam and pay their application fees. MAT 2018 admit card will be available online only for download. Candidates have to enter application number, date of birth and email id to download MAT hall ticket. The admit card will have candidate’s name, form number, roll number, exam date and time and address of exam venue.
MAT exam pattern gives the candidates’ an idea regarding the overall structure of the exam. The exam pattern has been released by the examination authority. The paper-based test of MAT is conducted in one session while computer-based test will be held in multiple slots depending on the number of applicants. MAT will be held for 150 minutes duration and comprises questions from Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning and Indian and Global Environment. There will be 200 objective type multiple choice questions.

MAT syllabus comprises topics from Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning and Indian and Global Environment. Indian and Global Environment comprises topics on current events and happenings, banking and business, sports etc. Mathematical Skills comprises questions based on number Systems, percentage, profit and loss, mixtures, averages, ratios, interest, time and work, time, speed and distance and geometry, trigonometry. Questions in intelligence and critical reasoning are asked from identifying patterns in number sets, relationships, direction sense, coding, decoding and verbal reasoning. Questions in language comprehension are asked from word analogies, vocabulary, with questions on antonyms and synonyms, rearranging sentences, reading comprehension and sentence completion. Data Analysis and Sufficiency carries questions from Data sufficiency, standard DI and data comparisons.
MAT sample papers are prepared to help candidates efficiently for the exam. The sample papers gives candidates a fair idea of question paper pattern. Practising MAT sample papers help candidates to improve their accuracy in solving questions as well as increases speed and effective time-management. MAT 2017 result of December session will be declared in the last week of December. However, MAT 2018 result will be released in the last week of February. To check the result candidates have to enter their roll number, form number and test month. MAT scorecard will have sectional and overall score obtained by the candidates. The examination authority will also sent the scorecard with photograph to candidates through post. MAT 2017 result can also be checked via SMS. Candidates can request for a duplicate MAT scorecard within 45 days from the declaration of result in case it is lost. The composite score will be scaled in the range between 199 to 801.
MAT cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks which candidates have to score to be eligible for next round of selection process. The cutoff is decided by the participating institutes. MAT cutoff will be released after the declaration of result. MAT 2017 cutoff usually ranges from 500 to 700. The cutoff will be calculated on the basis of composite score.
