MICAT Result 2018 – MICA has announced the result of MICAT 2 on February 26. To check MICAT 2018 result, candidates have to login with their user id and password. Along with the result, candidates can also download their scorecard. MICAT scorecard mentions the overall and sectional scores obtained by candidates in exam. Based on MICAT scores, 1/10th candidates are shortlisted for Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI). The examination authority will release the shortlist for GE and PI on March 1, 2018. The shortlist for GE and PI is prepared based on MICAT 1 and or 2 or better of the two if a candidate has taken both the exam. The composite score formula is applied to arrive at the shortlist for GE and PI. For this, 50 % weightage is given to CAT/XAT/GMAT and MICAT scores. The GE and PI is scheduled to be conducted at Delhi and Kolkata, Bangalore & Mumbai and Ahmedabad from March 8. MICA releases the final merit list for admission after giving weightage to CAT/XAT/GMAT, MICAT and GE and PI. The final MICAT result 2018 will be declared on March 31, 2018. Step 2: Candidates have to enter their MICAT user id and password.
Step 3: Click on ‘ Submit’ button
Step 4: MICAT scorecard will be displayed on the screen
Step 5: Download the scorecard and save it on your computer
MICAT result displays the following details.
Score obtained individually by a candidate in a particular component of MICAT-I/MICAT-II i.e The MICAT is divided into 6 sections. These sections are
Score in VA, QADI, GA, DCT and DT of the candidate X Maximum obtained by any candidate amongst the candidates who have appeared in MICAT-I/MICAT-II in VA, QADI, GA, DCT and DT) X Maximum possible score in VA, QADI, GA, DCT and DT in MICAT-I/MICAT-II.
The total MICAT-I/MICAT-II score are calculated through the scaled scores for each of the MICAT components - VA, QADI, GA, DCT and DT
There is no negative marking in the Descriptive and Psychometric Test. However, 25 per cent is deducted for wrong answer in Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness and Divergent-Convergent Reasoning.
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT (2016 onwards) & MICAT have to appear for both GE & PI. MICAT 2018 final result will be announced after completion of GE and PI. Merit list will be prepared based on final composite score (FCS) calculated by awarding specific weightages to CAT/XAT/GMAT, MICAT, GE and PI. Percentages of weightages is given in the table below.
Candidates appearing in GE and PI have to fulfill the following conditions to be considered for the merit list.
MICA cutoff is not released by the examination authority. The cutoff is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates have to secure to qualify for the next round of selection process. MICAT cutoff is calculated based on the scaled scores. MICAT cutoff 2018 might range between 59-61.
MICAT is conducted by MICA for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Communications (PGDM-C). Approximately 180 seats will be filled through MICAT. The exam is conducted twice in a year -MICAT-I and MICAT-II.
