SNAP 2017SNAP 2017 – Symbiosis International University (SIU) has announced the schedule for Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) 2017. This year, SNAP test will be conducted on December 17 (2 pm to 4 pm). As per the official notification, candidates can fill the application form for SNAP 2017 from August 10 to November 24. This year, SNAP test is being conducted in online mode. Until last year, SNAP test was held in pen and paper mode. Although, the mode of exam has changed, SIU has not introduced any change in the exam pattern. The question booklet will contain a total of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and candidates will be allotted 120 minutes to complete the test. The admit card will be issued online to the aspirants who successfully apply for the exam before the last date. Candidates will be able to download the SNAP 2017 admit card from December 1 to 17, 2017. The result of SNAP 2017 test will be announced on December 28. SNAP scores will be accepted by 15 SIU-affiliated colleges that offer post graduate management programmes. SNAP 2017 Dates

SNAP important dates 2017 have been announced by SIU. SNAP 2017 test will be conducted on December 17 (Sunday), 2017. SNAP Eligibility Criteria 2017

Before filling the application form, the candidates must ensure that they fulfil the following eligibility criteria –

  • The candidate must be a graduate with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ ST candidates) marks.
  • The final year graduation students are eligible to apply. However, they must submit the proof of completing their graduation within the specified time period.
  • Foreign degree holders must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

If the above-mentioned eligibility conditions are not fulfilled, the candidates can get disqualified at any stage of the admission process.

SNAP Reservation Policy 2017

The table given below provides information on SNAP 2017 reservation policy. This policy is applicable to all SIU-affiliated institutes except Symbiosis Institutes of Management Studies (SIMS). The SIMS has a separate reservation policy.

SNAP Application Form 2017

The application process of SNAP 2017 has started on August 10 and will end on November 24, 2017. While the SNAP application form must be filled online, the candidates have the choice to pay the application fee online or offline. Here are the basic steps to fill the application form of SNAP 2017 –

  • Upload the latest scanned passport sized photograph
  • Pay the registration fee of Rs. 1750/-
  • Complete the application form and submit it

SNAP Application Fee

The amount of SNAP application fee has increased this year. To apply for SNAP test 2017, candidates need to pay an application fee of Rs. 1750/- (+ additional payment gateway charges at actuals). Additionally, candidates will have to pay Rs. 1000 (per programme per institute) for programmes they wish to apply for. The test fee is non-refundable. Last year, the fee amount was Rs. 1500/-. To pay the fee online, candidates can opt for any of the following methods –

  • Net Banking
  • Credit/Debit Card
  • Indian Bank Net Banking
  • Cash Payment (Axis Bank or Indian Bank)
  • Demand Draft in favour of Symbiosis Test Secretariat payable at Pune

SNAP Exam Centres 2017

SNAP test is national-level management entrance test taken by a large number of MBA aspirants. SNAP 2017 will be conducted in 102 cities across India. While filling the SNAP application form, candidates can select three preferences of test cities. The candidates must note that once they have completed payment for SNAP test, any request for change of test city will not be entertained. The name and address of exam centre allotted to the candidate will be mentioned on the admit card. 

SNAP Exam Pattern 2017

SNAP 2017 exam will be conducted in online mode. It’s an objective type test in which each question carries 4 responses and the candidates are required to choose the most appropriate response. The total duration of the exam is two hours and the total number of questions asked is 150. SNAP exam is divided into the following four sections –

In the General English section, the questions are based on reading comprehension, verbal reasoning and verbal ability. In the Current Affairs section, the questions are based on the events which have taken place in the past two years. Each question carries one mark. There is negative marking as well. For every wrong answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted.

SNAP Syllabus 2017

SNAP test comprises of four sections and the questions are asked from a wide range of topics. Here are some of the main topics from which the questions are asked –

  • General English – Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, analogies, one word substitution, jumbled paragraphs, idioms etc.
  • Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency – Number system, simple interest & compound interest, profit & loss, trigonometry, HCF & LCM, Venn diagram etc.
  • Analytical & Logical Reasoning – Critical reasoning, syllogisms, matrix arrangements, critical reasoning, column graphs, line chart & pie charts etc.
  • General Awareness – Current affairs, geography, science, automobiles, sports, world records, business & finance etc.

SNAP Admit Card 2017

The admit card of SNAP 2017 will be released online on December 1, 2017 (11 am). Candidates must download it before December 17, 2017. It is released online and the candidates must download and print it. The admit card can be downloaded by accessing the download link and entering the login details. The Admit card is an important document without which the candidates will not be allowed to sit for the exam. Here are a few important things that the candidates must keep in mind –

  • The candidates must ensure that all the details mentioned on the admit card are correct.
  • A passport size photo must be posted on the printed admit card.
  • The candidates should carry the admit card along with a photo ID proof to the examination centre.
  • The admit card will be authenticated by an authorised person at the examination centre.
  • The authenticated admit card should be preserved by the candidates for further admission rounds.

SNAP Result 2017

The result of SNAP 2017 test will be announced on December 28, 2017. It will be released online. The candidates will be able to check the result of SNAP exam by entering their login credentials. On the basis of SNAP percentile, the candidates are shortlisted for Group Exercise, Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test (GE – PIWAT) rounds. After the completion of GE – PIWAT, the final merit list of the candidates is released by SIU. The final merit list is likely to be released in the fourth week of February 2018.

SNAP Cutoff 2017

After the announcement of SNAP 2017 result by SIU, the 15 SIU institutes will release their individual SNAP cutoffs. Only the candidates who meet the required minimum percentile will be eligible for the next rounds of admission. It must be noted that the cutoffs vary from institute to institute. The candidates will be able to check the SNAP cutoffs online.

SNAP Selection Procedure 2017

The selection procedure of SNAP 2017 comprises of various stages which include Group Exercise, Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test (GE – PIWAT). The candidates are shortlisted for GE – PIWAT on the basis of their SNAP percentile. While preparing the final merit list, the candidates’ SNAP score, as well as their performance in GE – PIWAT, is taken into consideration. On the basis of the following parameters, the final merit list of the candidates is prepared –
