TISSNET 2018: The entrance test of TISSNET will be conducted on January 6, 2018. TISSNET 2018 admit card will be issued by December 19. New registration for TISSNET 2018 closed on December 8. However, candidates can fill TISSNET application form till December 11. The test will be conducted in computer based mode across 39 cities. TISSNET 2018 comprises General Awareness, English Proficiency Maths and Logical Reasoning. The test will be held for 1 hour and 40 minutes. TISSNET 2018 mock test will be released soon to help candidates understand the overall structure of exam. TISSNET result will be declared on January 27, 2018. Based on the performance in the TISSNET 2018, candidates are called for the Pre-Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI). The final merit list will be prepared based on candidates’ performance in TISSNET, PIT and PI. Specific weightages will be assigned to these factors for the merit list. TISSNET is conducted for admissions to MA programmes in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations (HRM & LR). There are 150 seats in school of Management and Labour Studies. TISSNET eligibility criteria have been prescribed by TISS for appearing in the exam. As per the eligibility criteria candidates seeking admission to the MA programmes must have a bachelors degree or equivalent in any discipline. Candidates studying in the final year degree programme are also eligible to apply. There is no age limit and number of attempts for candidates applying in TISSNET.
TISSNET application form was available from October 24 to December 8, 2017. Online applications were accepted for the programme. However candidates belonging to the remote areas had the option to submit their applications offline till December 8, 2017. TISSNET application fee was Rs. 1030 for general category and for SC/ST it was Rs. 250 including bank charges. Candidates can apply maximum of three management programmes through the same application. The application form of TISSNET comprised filled in five stages. TISSNET is the national level entrance exam and is scheduled to be conducted across more than 100 exam centres in 39 cities. Candidates can choose any one of the TISSNET exam centres while filling the application form. Depending on the number of TISSNET 2018 applicants, more cities may be added to TISSNET exam centres. Apart from the major cities like Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata and Lucknow, TISSNET is conducted in the town like as Dimapur, Solapur, Aurangabad and Silchar. The Pre Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI) for HRM & LR programmes offered will be conducted at the Mumbai Campus.
TISSNET admit card will be issued to candidates in between December 18 to 19. Candidates who will successfully fill their applications before the last date will be issued TISSNET admit card. TISSNET hall ticket will be issued online and candidates can download the same through their registered email id and password. TISSNET admit card will have details like exam registration number, date, time, exam centre address, and personal details. Candidates must carry TISSNET 2018 admit card along with photo identity proof to the examination centre, failing which candidates will not be allowed to take the exam.
TISSNET is conducted in computer-based mode and for 100 marks. The exam comprises questions from General Awareness, English Proficiency, and Maths & Logical Reasoning. The duration of exam is 1 hour 40 minutes. The question paper carries 100 questions and for each correct answer candidates scores 1 marks. TISSNET sample papers have been released by coaching institutes. The sample papers are available online at Entrance Corner. The sample papers are based on paper pattern prescribed for the exam. TISSNET sample papers give candidates an idea on types of questions asked in the exam. Moreover, these papers help in exam preparation to improve speed, accuracy and time management skills. Besides, TISS has also released the previous years' question papers of TISSNET.
TISSNET result will be announced on January 27, 2018. The result will be announced online and can be downloaded through registered credentials. Candidates can check result and download their scorecard by entering login id and password. On the basis of the result, the candidates will be called for Pre-Interview Test (PIT) and Personal Interview (PI). After the PIT/ PI rounds, the examination authority will publish merit list of the candidates on April 27, 2018. TISSNET final scorecard will display a candidates name, category, registration number, domicile, preferred campus, programmes, TISSNET score, marks in PIT and PI, weighted scores and status. After the announcement of the final selection list, seats will be allotted to the candidates after documents verification. TISSNET cutoff will be declared by the examination authority along with the result. The cutoff of TISSNET is the minimum marks which should be scored by candidates for shortlisting in the next round of selection process and admission. TISSNET cutoff will be released as per the category and candidates who will secure equal to or more than the cutoff will be selected for next round. The entire selection procedure of TISSNET can be divided into three stages. The first stage comprises TISSNET 2018 entrance exam followed by PIT and PI. For the preparation of merit list the overall performance of the candidates in all the three stages will be taken into consideration.
For admission in TISS school of management and labour studies candidates have to qualify the entrance exam followed by PIT and PI. After the declaration of final result selected candidates will be called for document verification. Admission will be offered to candidates only after verification of original documents, medical examination, payment of admission fees and joining for the academic session. TISS academic session begins in the month of June.
