About CAT 2017

As mentioned earlier, IIM Lucknow will be conducting CAT 2017 in a computer-based mode. There are 20 IIMs and more than 100 top business schools that accept CAT score. The test will contain 100 MCQs and non-MCQs and test takers will be allotted 3 hours to complete the test. The questions will be divided into 3 sections, which are Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning. For each section, candidates will be allotted 1 hour and they are not allowed to switch in between. For every correct answer, 3 marks will be allotted while 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. To appear for the test, applicants must be a graduate/equivalent degree with at least 50% marks. The result will be available in the online mode only. The candidate’s score and percentile (sectional & overall) will be printed on the scorecard.
