TSICET CounsellingTSICET Counselling 2018 - The counselling for Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TS ICET) to fill Master of Business Administration (MBA) seats will commence in July. Candidates who qualify TS ICET 2018 have to attend the web based counselling. They are called for TS ICET counselling on the basis of their ranks. TSICET Counselling 2018 comprises various stages like document verification, option entry, seat allotment and payment of fees and self-reporting. First, all the shortlisted candidates have to report the help centres for document verification. Following this, candidates can exercise their options online. Based on the preferences entered by candidates, availability of seats and merit, seats will be allotted. Candidates allotted seats will have to pay the requisite fee and report to the college. Around 28,000 seats in the institutes, colleges and universities in Telangana are offered for admission. In this article, Entrance Corner has explained the stages of TSICET counselling in details. TS ICET 2018 is likely to be held on May 17, 2018. TS ICET 2018 result will be declared in May 2018. Read below for more details on TSICET counselling, dates and documents required.

Stages of TSICET Counselling 2018

The counselling is conducted in four stages.
  • Document Verification
  • Option Entry
  • Seat Allotment
  • Payment of fees and self-reporting
The stages of counselling are explained in details below.

TS ICETCounselling 2018 – Document Verification

Candidates have to attend for document verification in person at the help centres prescribed by the examination authority. It is mandatory for all candidates to participate in document verification. During document verification, the Aadhaar card details will be verified. Candidates who secured 50% (For OC) and 45% (SC/ST/BC) in graduation or equivalent examination are only eligible for admission. The processing fee is Rs 1000 for general, backward class while it is Rs 500 for SC/ ST. Candidates have to pay the fee at the time of document verification.

Documents to be produced by candidates

Candidates have to submit the following documents in original and two sets of photocopy at the time of certificate verification.
  • TSICET 2018 rank card
  • TSICET 2018 Admit Card
  • Aadhaar Card
  • Degree mark sheet and pass certificate.
  • Intermediate or its equivalent Marksheet and Pass Certificate.
  • S.S.C/HSC or its equivalent mark sheet
  • Class IX to Degree Study Certificates
  • Transfer Certificate (T.C)
  • Income Certificate issued
  • Caste Certificate issued by competent authority (if applicable)
  • Physically Challenged (PH) / Children of Armed Forces Personnel (CAP) / National Cadet Corps (NCC)/ Sports and Games / Minority certificate (if applicable)
  • Residence certificate of either of parents in Telangana for a period of 10 years in case of Non-Local candidates
  • Residence certificate of candidates for a period of 7 years preceding to qualifying examination in case where the candidate has no institutionalized education

Registration for document verification

  • Candidates have to wait for the announcement from the authorities of the helpline centres for registration.
  • Candidates have to hand over their rank card to the officer at entrance, collect the information form and fill up the details.
  • Candidates will be called for biometric verification as per their ranks, pay the processing fee, submit the mobile number and Aadhaar number. Following this, they will be given a receipt from the help-line centre.
  • Candidates have to enter their admit card number, rank in the register and sign it.
  • With this, the registration is completed. Candidates have to collect their registration-cum-verification form from the computer Operator.
  • Verify the details and proceed at the verification counter for certificate verification.

Process of document verification

  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC category should report to caste verification officer to verify the original documents and submit the photocopy. After this, they have to report to general certificate verification officers.
  • Those belonging to open competition (OC) category should directly report to certificate verification officer.
  • The officers will verify all the original certificates like the rank card, admit card, marksheets, study certificate, Income certificate etc.
  • Candidates will be given receipt of the certificate (ROC) if there is any discrepancy they will have to report to the chief verification officer for correction.

TSICET Counselling 2018 – Option Entry

Only candidates who will verify their documents can participate in option entry. Candidates have to exercise their options online. Exercising options is selection of colleges where they wish to join. Candidates are advised to go through the college profile, availability of courses, duration of the course, job prospects before exercising their options. The procedure of option entry is explained below.
Steps of option entry
  • Candidates have to generate the password. For this, click on the ‘Candidates registration’ tab to generate the password. Enter details like ROC form number, TS ICET admit card number, rank and date of birth.
  • After completing the registration and generating the password, click on candidates login
  • for exercising the options.
  • To exercise options, enter login id, admit card no, password and date of birth and click on ‘Sign in’
  • Select one or more districts for display of college in those districts
  • Click on ‘Display Option Entry form’
  • The university colleges, girl colleges, and minority institutions are displayed in different colors.
  • Candidates have to enter admit card number
  • Enter the option numbers in the boxes on the screen against the colleges
  • Click on save options at regular intervals.
  • After entry of options, click on logout button

TS ICET Counselling 2018 – Seat Allotment

The allotments will be processed as per merit, category, gender, local area, special reservation. To download the allotment order, Login ID number, Hall ticket number, password and Date of Birth.
TS ICET Counselling 2018 – Fee payment and self -reporting
Candidates have to pay the requisite fee to accept his allotment through self-reporting system. Click on accept my joining. Following this, joining report containing the admission number is generated. Candidates have to take its printout and submit along with the allotment order at the allotted college.
Process of participating in the subsequent phases of TSICET Counselling
  • If candidates have not participated in previous phases of counselling, then they can participate as a fresh candidate by attending certificate verification at one of the help centres.
  • If no seat is allotted in the previous phase of TS ICET counselling, candidates can participate in the next phase.
  • If a seat is allotted and candidates have not accepted the joining then the allotted seat will be canceled and will be treated as a vacancy to be filled later. Candidates can participate in the counselling but are eligible to join new college allotted in the second phase and cannot claim for the previous allotment.
  • If candidates paid the fee, accepted the joining and reported at the allotted college, they can still participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling. If a seat is allotted as per new option, then the first allotment will be canceled and candidates will be moved to the new allotted college.

Process of cancellation of seat

If candidates want to withdraw or cancel the allotted seat, at the end of the Counselling process, they can do so before a stipulated date. For this, candidates have to approach the Convener in person or by registered post. Candidates have to submit the following documents.
  • Duly filled in application for cancellation of allotted seat
  • Original receipt of certificates issued at the time of certificate verification at help line center
  • Latest provisional allotment order
  • Receipt of fee payment
  • Request letter for cancellation of allotted seat by the candidate

About TS ICET 2018

TS ICET is conducted by Kakatiya University on behalf of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) for admission to universities and colleges in Telangana. The exam is held in pen and paper mode for 2 hours 30 minutes across 16 regional centres. TS ICET 2018 is an objective type test carrying questions from Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability and Communication Ability. The exam conducting body prepares merit list based on candidate’s score in the written exam. Candidates will be allotted state-wise ranks in the order of merit.
